I Am a Happy Volunteer

Seoul Regional Tax Office

The head of the Seoul Regional Tax Office and the staff paid a visit to Babfor.

With smiles and warm greetings, they welcomed the seniors and provided them with warm food that they had been preparing since 9 a.m.

They even signed an MOU, promising to volunteer and make donations on a regular basis. At Babfor, we will practice sharing that provides warmth and happiness, together with the Seoul Regional Tax Office.

Volunteering with Babfor on Her 70th Birthday

Sunyeong Tae visited Babfor with her friends as a way to celebrate her 70th birthday. She even donated money to pay for the cost of providing free meals to seniors that day.

The women worked very hard without a complaint on a hot, humid day, which touched all of our hearts. This wasn’t actually the first time Sunyeong Tae volunteered at Babfor; she actually served with us on her 60th birthday 10 years ago, and this made her recent visit all the more meaningful. We’d like to express our sincerest thanks to Sunyeong Tae for being with us at Babfor on such an important day of her life.

Eagle Christian School

First year middle school students from Eagle Christian School visited us at Babfor.

Amidst the sweltering heat, with the daytime temperature soaring over 30°C, the volunteers were tasked with toilsome chores such as cutting onions and green onions, washing the dishes, and throwing away food waste, but they kept smiling without a complaint while serving the seniors. At the end of the day, Gyeongmin Noh, who was one of the students, said,

“Babfor presented me with a new challenge to take on. This experience taught me the importance of sharing in spite of my busy schedule. I’d like to thank my parents and Babfor giving me the opportunity to tackle this new challenge.” We hope that the students from Eagle Christian School continue to do their very best in their studies and grow healthy and strong. Eagle Christian School students are the best!

Ulsan Metropolitan Volunteer Center

Volunteers who are so experienced and skillful that we exclaim, “Wow!”, every time we see them have once again paid a visit to Babfor. They visit every year to serve food and wash the dishes to perfection like true veterans, and seeing them allows us to taste the essence of volunteering. The volunteers from the Ulsan Metropolitan Volunteer Center gave us their valuable time and shared love and warmth, and we must say that they are the best!!!

The Youth Volunteer Team from Yeongcheon Church

T h e Yo u t h Vo l u n t e e r Te a m f r o m Yeongcheon Church visited Dail Little Heaven for the first time. Yeongcheon Church is located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and the name, “Yeongcheon,”

means the “spring of the spirit and soul.” Perhaps that’s why, but the young volunteers from the church seemed to exude incredible spiritual vivacity and joy, while volunteering with us. They sang in front of the seniors as a way to entertain them, but they seemed somewhat tense and nervous, which made them seem very pure and innocent. At the end of the day, they said that they’d like to come again to see the seniors, and the residents shed tears, being touched by their words.

Thank you, Yeongcheon Church Youth Volunteer Team! Come visit us anytime to heal the broken hearts of our elderly residents once again!

HOW Team from Baewha Women's University

The members of HOW Team, a volunteer club at Baewha Women’s University, visited Dail Little Heaven for the second time this month. They had come with delicious snacks and beverages in hand for the residents of Dail Little Heaven at the beginning of this month, and they didn’t come empty-handed during their recent visit either. We are more than grateful for them to volunteer at Dail Little Heaven, but they even save money from their dinner fund to make donations, which never ceases to amaze us. They are at an age when they can be immature and it’s still understandable, but they seem a lot more mature than people their senior, considering the way they think about our residents. We hope that they never forget Dail Little Heaven and continue volunteering with us. Let’s always stay together, Baehwa Women’s Univ. HOW Team!

Love Clean Volunteer Team

The Love Clean Volunteer Program is operated with Dongdaemun-gu Volunteer Center recruiting volunteers to be dispatched to Dail Little Heaven. This time, high school students came to visit us. A meaningful event was scheduled for that day, and the volunteers did a great job preparing for the event, g e t t i n g t h e r e f r e s h m e n t s r e a d y , setting up and removing the chairs, and cleaning the place afterwards. It was their first time volunteering with us, but they didn’t seem nervous at all.

The way they prepared the snacks and peeled corn made them look like angels from heaven. Although this may be their first and last visit since they don’t know where they’ll be dispatched next, they expressed their wish to visit Dail Little Heaven again and we were very moved.

We’ll pray that they make a flawless transition from great adolescents to great young adults!

Little Heaven

Volunteers from Tanzania

Missionaries Jeongtae Kim and Soyeon Lee, who have been providing a great deal of help since the establishment of Tanzania Dail Community, visited us in Uganda together with their son Sein. Another visitor we welcomed was Jepil Yu from JP Consulting, who has been donating his talent through leadership seminars at the Tanzania Korean missionary training camps since 2011. They handed out bread and milk to the students of Kitiko Elementary School and presented the young children with great joy and happiness. We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude to them for coming all the way from Tanzania.

Shinil High School – Siem Reap

Students and teachers from Shinil High School in Korea paid a visit to Cambodia Dail Community to share love and serve people in need. We’d like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, the students and teachers who broke a sweat and used all of their energy for the Sunday worship service, Babfor and taekwondo ministry.

Thanks to their paint work, Phnom Krom Babfor Center has become much brighter and more beautiful. Also, their generous donations allowed us to share bountiful food at Babfor. They promised us that they’ll visit again next year saying that they were returned a greater amount of love than what they had given the children here. Shinil High School is the best!

Jaegeon Dongsan Church. Church of the Reconstructed Garden – Phnom Penh Members of the congregation of Jaegeon Dongsan Church visited the Phnom Penh Branch of Cambodia Dail Community to volunteer at Babfor. They greeted us with warm smiles and infectious laughter and lovingly embraced the kids as well. In addition to serving food, they also cleaned the facilities and presented a music performance for the children, which was well-received. Not familiar with the lyrics, the children hummed to the songs, which brought smiles to all of our faces. I’d like to express my sincerest gratitude to the members of Jaegeon Dongsan Church for visiting us all the way from Korea.

Pastor Chunjung Heo and Youth Team of Gyeonggi Dongno Association Global Missionary Division / Vision Trip Team from Daejeon Immanuel Church Pastor Chunjung Heo, who has been supporting Babfor throughout its history with so much love, visited Cambodia Dail Community together with the Youth Team of Gyeonggi Dongno Association Global Missionary Division and the Vision Trip Team from Daejeon Immanuel Church. During their two-day stay, they volunteered at Babfor and moved our hearts with their beautiful praise and worship service. We’d like to thank them once again for serving with us and showing us how to love and how to let such beautiful love flow throughout a community. They promised us to co-work with us through prayers and made a donation out of their love for the children here. Thank you! What a beautiful world!

The Youth Group of Phnom Penh Jeil Church – Phnom Penh

The youth group of Phnom Penh Jeil Church came to the Phnom Penh Branch of Cambodia Dail Community to volunteer at Babfor. They welcomed the children who came to eat at Babfor with their eyes twinkling in excitement, and they served food and clean the facilities with high energy. They even presented balloon art that the kids absolutely loved and gave them a chance to try face painting. The teachers laughed as they watched the kids having their faces painted and playing with balloons in their hands, and it was a great joy for us to watch. The youth group of Phnom Penh Jeil Church who volunteered at the Phnom Penh Branch of Cambodia Dail Community and played with the children is the best!!!
