4.3 RESULTADOS PREGUNTA NR 10

Record estimate function can calculate how long you can record video according to the HDD capacity, and calculate the required HDD capacity according to the record period.

Step1 Select Main Menu → STORAGE RE C ESTIMATE. The RE C ESTIMATE interface is d isplayed . See Figure 2 .17 9.

Step2 Click .

The Edit dialogue box is displayed. See Figure 2.180. You can configure the Resolution, Frame Rate, Bit Rate and

Record Time for the selected channel.

Step3 Click Apply to save the settings.

Then the system will calculate the time period that can be used for storage according to the channels settings and HDD capacity.

Calculating Recording Time

Step1 On the RE C ESTIMATE inter face, click the Known Space tab. The Known Space inter face is displayed. See Figure 2.1 81.

Step2 C lick Select. The Sele ct HDD(s ) interface is disp layed.

Step 3 Select the check box of the HDD that you want to calculate. In the Known Space tab, in the Time box, the recording time is displayed. See Figure 2.182.

Calculating HDD Capacity for Storage

Step1 On the RE C ESTIMATE inter face, click the Known Time tab. The Known Time interface is displayed. See Figure 2.183.

Step 2 In the Time box, enter the time period that you want to record. In the Capacity box, the required HDD capacity is displayed.

FTP

You can store and view the recorded videos and snapshots on the FTP server. Preparations

Purchase or download FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server and install it on your PC.

For the created FTP user, you need to set the write permission; otherwise the upload of recorded videos and snapshots will be failed.

Step1 Select Main Menu → STORAGE FTP. The FTP interface is displayed. See Figure 2.18 4.

Step2 Configure the settings for the FTP settings parameters.

Anonymity E nter the username and password to login the FTP server. E nable the anonymity function, and then you can login anonym ously with out entering the user name and password.

⚫ If you do not enter the name of remote directory, system automatically creates the folders according to the IP and time. If you enter the name of remote directory, the system creates the folde r with the e ntered n ame under the FTP root di rectory fir st, and then automatically creates the folders according to the IP and tim e.

E nter the length of the uploaded record ed vide o.

⚫ If the entered length is less than the recorded video length, only a section of the recor ded video can be uploaded. ⚫ If the entered length is more than the recorded video

length, the whole recorded vide o can be upl oa ded. ⚫ If the entered length is 0, the whole reco rde d video will

be uploaded.

Image Upload Inte rval (Sec.)

⚫ If this i nterval is longe r than snaps hot in terval, the system takes the recent snapshot to upload. For example, the interval is 5 seconds, a nd snap shot int erval is 2 seconds per s napshot, the system uploads the recent snapshot every 5 seconds.

⚫ If this i nterval is sho rter than snapshot interval, the system upl oads the snapshot per the snapshot interval. Fo r example, the interval is 5 seconds, and snapsh ot interval is 1 0 seconds per snap shot, the system up loads the snapshot every 10 secon ds.

⚫ To con figu re the snapshot interval, select Main Menu

C hannel ⚫ Select the channel that you want to apply the F T P settings. Weekday

Select the weekday and set the time period tha t you want to upload the recorded fi les. You can set two periods for each weekday.

Record type

Select the record type (Alarm, Intel, MD, an d General) that you want to upload. The selected record type will be uploaded dur ing the configu red time period.

Step3 C lick Test.

The system pops up a message to indicate success or failure. If failed, check the network connection or configurations. Step4 Click Apply to complete the settings.

Step2 Select Enable to enable function in the Type list. Step 3 Configure the parameters.

In the Type list, you can select Network Access, Sync Time- Whitelist, Forbid Ping and Semi Join.

⚫ Network Access: C onfigure access right of IP host.

⚫ Sync Time-Whitelist: Allow des ignated IP host to synchronize or change Device time. Prevent multiple IP hosts from synchroni zing system time with one Device repeatedly.

⚫ Forbid Ping: The Device d oes n ot respond to Ping requests. ⚫ Semi Join: Protect Device operation f rom hacke r attack.

Mode

Mode can be configured when Type is Network Access. ⚫ If Trusted Sites is enab led, you can visit d evice port

successfully with IP/MAC hosts in Trusted Sites.

⚫ If B locked Sites is enabled, y ou cannot visit d evice port with IP/MAC hosts in Blocked Sites.

Add When Type is Network Access, you can configure IP Address, IP Segment and MAC Address.

When Type is IP Address, they can be configured . Start Port and E nd Port can be configured only i n Netw ork Access Type.
