Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center

The Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education and awareness on the issue of domestic violence.

Comprehensive Community Action Program provides specialized evaluation and counseling services to victims of sexual abuse and trauma. The program also serves non-offending parents and siblings. Additionally, offers the Victims of Crime Program that assists persons or families who are victims of violent crime by providing clinical case management.

Day One’s mission is to reduce the prevalence of sexual abuse and violence, and to support and advocate for those affected by it. It provides services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, hate crimes, and other violent crimes, as well as education to the public.

mission of empowering adolescents, pregnant and parenting teens, and families in communities of color to break the cycle of violence and poverty. Its goal is to address domestic violence specifically among minority groups and provide help and support to those affected by violence regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or age.

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County envisions a world in which all individuals are free from violence, grow to their full potential and have relationships based on trust, equality and mutual respect. organization that provides a wide array of social, medical and educational services to primarily low-income children, adults and families. Violence-recovery specific programs include Trauma and Loss Center (for children who were exposed to violence or loss) and the Children’s Treatment and Recovery Center (for children physically or sexually abused).

Gateway Healthcare has developed a specialized program to provide Child and Adolescent Intensive Treatment Services (CAITS) to children and youth who have experienced traumatic events. This evidence-based program offers trauma and grief therapy services and psychiatric consultation and assessment to children and their families, including those who have experienced abuse (sexual, physical, and emotional, as well as those who have witnessed domestic abuse).

The Women’s Center of Rhode Island (WCRI) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The only center in the Providence/East Providence area serving individual women as well as mothers and their children who are victims of domestic violence. The mission is to end interpersonal violence, offering culturally competent programs that provide safety, shelter and court advocacy to victims of domestic violence, as well as educational programs for violence prevention.
