Canadian Journal of Environmental Education

Volume 13 (1), 2008

The Canadian Journal of Environmental Educationis a refereed journal pub- lished once a year. It seeks to further the study and practice of environmental education by providing a thoughtful forum for researchers, scholars, practi- tioners, and post-secondary students. The publication and distribution of arti- cles and reviews should contribute to Canadian thought and practice in environmental education and/or issues and practices of international impor- tance to this field of study.

The views expressed in this journal are not necessarily those of the jour- nal’s editors, advisory editors, or supporters. The Canadian Journal of Environmental Education publishes material that may represent divergent ideas, judgments, and opinions.

The production of Volume 13 (1)has been made possible through the generous support of the Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication (EECOM) and Lakehead University.

Cover painting titled after Rishma Dunlop’s poem “Naramata Road” is by Fort Langley, BC artist Suzanne Northcott. Northcott and Dunlop have collaborated for a decade on art exhibitions, publications, and international presentations of interdisciplinary art. A new book of Dunlop’s poems and Northcott’s art, titled White Album, was published by Inanna Publications in fall 2008 and launched at an art exhibition with literary readings titled “Lucid Ground,” at the Linda Lando Art Gallery, Vancouver, November.13, 2008.

See page 10 for further notes on the cover and Rishma Dunlop’s and Suzanne Northcott’s artist statements.

Printed in Canada with 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
