1. Purposes

To offer the people that have not completed their basic education (primary and/or

secondary), the chance to:

Speed up

their passing through basic education.

Know when they can begin or continue their studies, to

guide them

.

Begin their studies according to their knowledge and skills.

2. Strategies

The Diagnostic Evaluation for Mexican Communities Abroad is carried out with three different supports used

according to the education situation and interest of each person.

a) Identification of education interests

: guides the adult according to his/her needs and interests,

considering his/her school background.

Format of Adult’s education interests.

b) Equivalence tables

: useful in those cases in which adults have official documents that prove their studies

in the Mexican Education System.

Equivalence Table for Primary.

Equivalence Table for Secondary.

c) Diagnostic Evaluation:

allows identifying the skills and knowledge of the person that knows how to read

and write and wishes to continue with his/her studies.

The Diagnostic Evaluation is applied only once to new comers who have not studied, or have previously

presented exams at the National Institute for Adult’s Education (INEA).



Persons that present 3rd primary academic grades will pass the modules without grade in the 1st session

and will present as of the 2nd session.



Persons with report cards of any school grade and that know how to read and write must present as of the

1st session. Persons with primary certificate and/or school grades of any secondary degree must present

from the 4th session.



Persons that present the 1st session must accredit all modules in order to continue with the 2nd session.
