Reading and storing the
user manual
This user manual accompa-nies the digital caliper. It contains important infor-mation on start-up and handling. For improved readability, the digital caliper will be referred to only as the “caliper” in this user manual. Before using the caliper, read the user manual carefully. This partic-ularly applies for the safety notes. Failure to comply with the user manual may result in damage to the caliper.
Store the user manual for future use. If you pass the caliper on to third parties, please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.

Checking the caliper and
the product contents
1. Take the caliper 1 out of the
packaging.
2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see fig. A). 3. Check whether the caliper or the
individual parts
exhibit damage. If this is the case, do not use the caliper. Con-tact the manufacturer via the service address indicated on the warranty card.
Inserting/changing the
battery
A type LR44 button cell has already been inserted.
1. Open the battery com-
partment 8 .
2. Insert the enclosed type LR44
button cell 2 . Make sure the
polarity is correct in the process. 3. Put the cover of the battery

After inserting the battery, the caliper will need approxi-mately 5–6 seconds to configure itself. The caliper may only be switched on once the configuration process is complete.
Handling
1. Push the OFF/ON button 13 to
switch the caliper 1 on.
2. To select the desired unit of mea-sure (metric/inch), push the mm/
inch button 7 .
The caliper saves the set unit of measure for the next time you use it.
3. Set the caliper to 0 by pushing
the ZERO button 12 in order to
start the measurement. For ad-ditional functions of the caliper, refer to the chapter “Functions”.
4. Move the slider 9 or turn the
fine adjustment dial 11 to

You can lock the caliper with the locking screw

Zero setting
The zero setting can be performed in any position and facilitates step
measurements 15 .
− Push the ZERO button 12 to
set the zero point. This makes it possible to perform differential measurements.
Negative measure-ments are displayed with a “–”.
Conversion
The mm/inch conversion may be performed in any position.

The caliper can be set for high pre-cision with the fine adjustment dial11 .
Switching the caliper on
and off
The caliper can be switched on and off manually and automatically. Automatic activation and deactivation

− Wipe the measuring scale of the caliper off with a dry and clean cloth (or one that has been wet-ted with cleaning oil).

Troubleshooting
Some malfunctions may be caused by minor faults, which you can resolve yourself. Follow the instruc-tions in the following table for this. If it is still not possible to resolve the problem with the caliper, contact customer service. Do not in any case repair the caliper yourself.
Keep in mind that the positive pole of the battery must always be fac-ing up.

Sort the packaging before you dis-pose of it. Disdis-pose of paperboard and cardboard with the recycled paper service and wrappers with appropriate collection service.

Comprobar el calibre y el
volumen de suministro
1. Saque el calibre 1 de su embalaje.2. Compruebe si el suministro está completo (véase la fig. A). 3. Compruebe si el calibre o las
piezas individuales presen-tan daños. Si este es el caso, no utilice el calibre. Diríjase al fabricante en la dirección de servicio indicada en la tarjeta de garantía.
Inserción/cambio de las
pilas
Ya hay dentro una pila de botón del tipo LR44.
1. Abra el compartimento de

2. Inserte la pila de botón
suminis-trada 2 del tipo LR44. Controle
que la polaridad sea correcta. 3. Coloque nuevamente la tapa del
compartimiento de pilas. Tras introducir la pila, el calibre necesita unos 5–6 segundos para configurarse. Una vez terminado el proceso de ajuste, se puede encender el calibre.
Uso
1. Para encender el calibre 1 ,
presione el botón OFF/ON 13 .
2. Para elegir la unidad de medi-ción deseada (sistema métrico/ pulgadas), presione el botón
mm/inch 7 .
El calibre guarda la unidad de medición configurada para el siguiente uso. 3. Fije el calibre en 0 presionando
el botón ZERO 12 para iniciar
la medición. En el capítulo “Fun-ciones” tiene otras funciones del calibre.

4. Mueva la corredera 9 o gire la
rueda de ajuste preciso 11 para
tomar una medición.
Puede fijar el calibre con el tornillo de
fijación 6 para
garantizar el resultado de la medición. 5. Vea el resultado de la medición

6. Presione el botón OFF/ON para apagar el calibre.

Ajuste en cero
El ajuste en cero se puede realizar en cualquier posición y facilita las
mediciones graduales 15 .
− Presione el botón ZERO 12 para
determinar el cero. Así se permi-ten mediciones diferenciales.
Las mediciones negativas se muestran con un “–”.
Conversión
La conversión entre mm y pulga-das se puede realizar en cualquier posición.

− Para ver el resultado de la medi-ción en la otra unidad, presione
el botón mm/inch 7 .
Rueda de ajuste preciso
Para mediciones muy precisas, se puede regular el calibre con larue-da de ajuste preciso 11 para que
resulte especialmente exacto.
Encendido y apagado
El calibre dispone de un encen-dido y apagado manual, y otro automático.Encendido y apagado automático

Búsqueda de fallos

Algunas averías pueden deberse a pequeños fallos que usted mismo puede subsanar. Siga las instruccio-nes reflejadas en la tabla siguiente. Si la avería en el calibre no se sub-sana con ello, contacte con el servi-cio de atención al cliente. USA In order to make a claim under the warranty, please send us:
• together with the faulty item, the original receipt and the warranty card properly completed. • the faulty product with
all components includ-ed in the packaging. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
• Accident or unantic-ipated events (e.g. lightning, water, fire). • Improper use or
transport.
• Disregard of the safe-ty and maintenance instructions.
• Other improper treat-ment or modification. After the expiry of the warranty period, you still have the possibil-ity to have your product repaired at your own expense. If the repair or the estimate of costs is not free of charge you will be informed accordingly in advance.

This warranty does not limit the statutory obligation of the sell-er arising from a warranty. The period of warranty can only be extended in accordance with a legal standard.
