Purpose:

● Engage families in authentic partnership with Livingston School.

● Measure how our students/ families are experiencing the school climate

● Monitor equity in virtual instruction and support services and resources offered.

We will host community forums over the course of the year to listen to our caregivers and students.

Propósito:

● Involucrar a las familias en una asociación auténtica con la escuela Livingston.

● Medir cómo nuestros estudiantes / familias están experimentando el clima escolar.

● Monitorear la equidad en la instrucción virtual y los servicios y recursos de apoyo ofrecidos.

● Caregivers expressed concerns over student learning (grades,

participation, understanding)

● Caregivers expressed concerns over students social emotional health during virtual learning

Caregivers expressed concerns over student learning

● Teachers have been collaborating around strategies for and ways to modify

assignments and tasks to increase student success.

● New schedule allows for more small

groups. Teachers use 2 days to deliver one task which allows for more teacher

support.

Los cuidadores expresaron sus preocupaciones por la participación virtual de los estudiantes

● Los maestros han estado colaborando en tornos a estrategias y formas de modificar asignaciones y tareas para aumentar el éxito de los estudiantes.

● El nuevo horario permite más grupos

pequeños. Los maestros usan dos días para entregar una tarea que permite más apoyo del maestro.

Caregivers expressed concerns over student learning

● Grading for Equity - failing grades are recorded no lower than a 50% in point value and students can submit late work and revise work without any penalties

● Teachers held one to one conferences before December holiday break to check in with students academic needs

● Evening Academic Support on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-7 pm.

● Calificación por equidad: las calificaciones reprobatorias se registran con un valor de puntos no inferior al 50% y los estudiantes pueden someter trabajos tardíos y revisar el trabajo sin ninguna penalización

● Daily SEL period provided to help students build relationship skills and social awareness.

● Black Lives Matter curriculum has been introduced to support students feeling safe and developing empathy for others.

● Se proporciona un período de SEL diario para ayudar a los estudiantes a desarrollar habilidades de relación y conciencia social.

paraprofessionals work with small groups in the afternoon with students that need additional support.

● School focus during professional

development and meetings has been on student social emotional health and culturally responsive practices.

Friday) at 10 schools

● The hours are from 11am to 6pm

● Parents will need student ID number to pick up meals.
