Welcome to TCaT

TCaT provides reliable and convenient public transit service between cities and within many small communities throughout Tulare County. Fixed route service is offered everyday. Demand-response Dial-A-Ride service is offered Monday through Friday (a one-day advanced reservation is required for rural Dinuba, Sultana, Monson, Cutler, Orosi, Pixley, Tipton, Earlimart, Alpaugh, Allensworth, Richgrove, Waukena, East Orosi, Yettem, Teviston, North Patterson Tract, Seville and Tooleville).

Catching a Ride

For your safety we recommend catching the bus at designated bus stops. You may board or leave the bus at any point along the route where the driver can make a safe stop. Wave or flag down the bus at a safe pullout location. For your convenience, you may call a day in advance to let us know you will be waiting for the bus somewhere other than a bus stop.

Deviated Fixed-Route Service

To provide reasonable accommodation, Americans Disability Act (ADA)-eligible riders may request a route deviation pickup and/or drop off if it is within ¾ mile of Routes 10 - 90 by calling at least one day in advance of service. The ADA route deviation fare is twice the regular fare. Curb-to-curb service is provided unless a request is made for door-to-door service.

Transfers/Connections

You may connect with other transit services in the cities of Dinuba, Porterville, Tulare, Visalia, Woodlake and Delano. Separate fares are required to board those systems, with the following exceptions: transfers to/from Visalia Transit Route 1 are free; transfers to/from TIME are accepted on TCaT Routes 20 and 40; transfers to/from Porterville Transit are accepted on Routes 40, 60, 70, 80 and 90.

Holiday Service

TCaT does not operate on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day. Saturday service level is provided on Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Presidents’ Day; Veterans Day; Day after Thanksgiving; and Christmas Eve. (There is no weekend service on Routes 60 – 90.)
