INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR ENROLMENT AS AN ERASMUS STUDENT (INCOMING)

The date of your arrival to Santiago de Compostela is coming! Here, you will find the steps you have to follow for your enrolment at the USC as an incoming Erasmus student.

1. Before your arrival in Santiago de Compostela, you have to book online an appointment for any of the orientation meetings that will be hold at the beginning of the semester. To do this, please, follow the instructions you have received by email.

2. On your arrival, THE FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS COMING TO THE ORIENTATION MEETING AT THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE (SRE) (number 16 on the map) on the day and time that you have booked online previously. We will provide you with the following documents:

a. Your Erasmus Credentials, which are needed for your enrolment as an erasmus student.

b. A map of Santiago de Compostela on which we will show you the most important premises of the university, how to get to your faculty, to the registration office (UXA), how to find your departmental coordinator. We will also provide you with more information regarding what you have to do to sign in for the courses you are going to take at USC.

c. If your home university requires you to send them an “arrival certificate”, here is the place where we can fill, sing and stamp it.

3. Contact your academic coordinator at USC. He/she is responsible for all academic issues during your stay here: Which courses are more suitable for you? What is the timetable for classes and exams? You may talk about all these things with your departmental coordinator. He/she is the person who signed your initial learning agreement and who has to sign any CHANGES that you want to make to it during your stay here. To sign in for your courses you need to have the signature of your departmental coordinator on your Learning Agreement. Therefore, if you still don’t have the document duly signed by him/her, please ask him/her to sign it where it says:

“Responsible person in the receiving institution”.

4. Go to the Administration Office called UXA (Unidade de Xestión Académica) of your Campus FOR YOUR ENROLMENT (numbers 31 or 55 on your map). You must take following documents with you:

a. Your Erasmus Credential (provided to you during the orientation meeting)

b. A copy of your ID card or passport (the same that you have in the Erasmus Credential) c. Your learning agreement signed by your academic coordinator at USC.

You will be required to pay a compulsory fee of 16€ for a health and travel insurance. In the UXA you will get a registration form needed to make the payment at the bank (you will find a

“Banco de Santander” in each Campus where you can make the payment, numbers 32 and 55 on the map). You just need to pay this only once for your complete stay, so please, don’t pay it again if you register in any of the Spanish courses at the CLM. Remark that the registration for the Spanish course is done through the CLM website, not at the UXA.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING YOUR LEARNING AGREEMENT

If you wish to make any change to your initial L.A., you will need to repeat the previous steps:

1. Fill the changes form or “During the mobility” part of your L.A. (preferably using the forms provided by your home university) and get your academic coordinator´s signature.

2. Go to the UXA of your Campus to change the courses you are enrolled in.

3. Deadline: ONE MONTH from the beginning of each semester.
