The General Directorate of Civil Aviation informs that effective from January 31, 2019 and permanent, Taxiway J (Juliett)

is enabled; this according to the following chart:

Therefore, the relevant changes in the AIP of Costa Rica are the following:

1 Apron surface and strength

Surface:

Main Apron (Apron 1): parking positions A1 (gate A1), A2A (gate A2), A2B

(gate A2), A3A (gate A3), A3B (gate A3), A4A (gate A4), A4B (gate A4) ), A5 (gate A5), A6 (gate A6), A7 (gate A7), A8 (gate A8), A9 (gate A9), A10 (gate A10), A11 (gate A11), A12 (gate A12) and A13 (gate A13), they have padding of hydraulic concrete and transition areas in asphaltic concrete.

Remote Apron (Apron 2): C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8, R6 and R7 have

padding of hydraulic concrete and transition areas in asphalt concrete. The positions C9, C10, C11, R8, R9, R10 and R11 have padding and transition areas in hydraulic concrete. The positions R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 have surface in concrete asphalt.

Domestic Apron: parking positions D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, D8, D9, D10,

D11 and D12 have surface in asphaltic concrete. Resistance of the three platforms: Pending determining.

6 Remaks

To the entrance of the Domestic Apron (North side of the taxiway E) there is an aircraft waiting area. This area is designed for a single standby position and for aircraft with a wingspan equal or less of 19 m.

Maintenance of green areas on the strip of the runway and taxiways between 1200 UTC and 2300 UTC, coordinated with the Control Tower.

Concerning the positions of the main apron (Apron 1) the air traffic service will provide information to the crews regarding the boarding gate (not referring to the parking position).
