Jesus observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents.

events of his Second Coming. He tells his disciples that things will pass away, but assures them that my words will not pass away.

Shoe Drive
Confirmation II will be collecting gently used shoes for charity during the month of November as part of All Souls' and in partnership with the 2nd Annual Fun Walk. The goal is 3,000 pairs of shoes. Let OLMC collect soles for souls! Donations may be dropped off in the designated boxes in the church vestibule or green recycling contained by the soccer field.

Los candidatos de Confirmación II estarán recolectando zapatos usados y que estén en buen estado para donarlos durante el mes de Noviembre como parte de su actividad del día de los Fieles Difuntos y en colaboración con la 2da edición anual del “Fun
Walk”. La meta es de 3.000 pares de zapatos. Permitamos que
OLMC recoja estos zapatos en beneficio de muchas personas! Las donaciones se pueden dejar en las cajas designadas para este fin y que se encuentran ubicadas en el vestíbulo de la iglesia o en el recipiente de reciclaje verde cerca al campo de fútbol.

Knights of Columbus #4577 and the Catholic Daughters Court #1959 will again host the annual Archbishop Flores Charity Benefit Dinner-Dance at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 6320 Madden Lane on Saturday, December 5, 2015. All the proceeds from this year’s event will go to OLMC School. Tickets are $25 each. Dinner will be served from 6:00 - 7:30 PM and dance from 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM. OLMC School
Mt Carmel Boys Soccer Team Performs Superbly!
The OLMC Crusaders took on the Corpus Christi Colts for the Boys Soccer Championship - Division 1 - at St. Thomas High School Soccer Field. And although the boys performed spectacularly, they unfortunately fell short in falling to the Colts 2-0. The offense led by Abraham Lopez and Adolfo Barraza-Tobias were met with stiff resistance from a determined Colts defense. Adolfo, with great assists from Abraham, sometimes doubled and tripled team, was unable to score after tremendous attempts in driving the ball for the goal - only to be denied to from the Colts goalie. The Crusaders, remained in the game, tenaciously competing and not succumbing to the 2-0 score with minutes left in the game. They played like true champions and we are very proud of them. We would like to thank Coach Sequiera, Parents, Staff and all those who supported our Crusaders and even though they took second place, they are first place in our hearts. El equipo de fútbol de niños del monte Carmelo!
Los cruzados de OLMC se enfrentaron a los Potros de Corpus Christi en el Campeonato de Fútbol de Niños - División 1 - en el campo de la Secundaria Santo Tomás. Y aunque los chicos jugaron de manera espectacular, se quedaron cortos en el puntaje al perder con los Potros 2-0. La ofensiva encabezada por Abraham López y Adolfo Barraza-Tobias fue enfrentada con una fuerte resistencia de la defensa de los Potros. Adolfo, con la gran ayuda de Abraham, en muchas ocasiones duplicó y triplicó el equipo, pero no pudieron anotar después de tremendos esfuerzos en controlar el balón para hacer los goles - sólo encontraron una buena defensa que permitió a los Potros hacer las anotaciones. Los cruzados, se mantuvieron en el juego, compitiendo tenazmente para no dejarse ganar en la puntuación que terminó 2-0. Jugaron como verdaderos campeones y estamos muy orgullosos de ellos. Queremos agradecer al entrenador Sequiera, a los padres de familia, al personal y a todos los que apoyaron a nuestros cruzados y aunque quedaron en el segundo lugar, ellos están en el primer lugar en nuestros corazones.
