Readings for the Week
Faith Formation Registration
We will begin registration for Faith Formation, First Communion and Confirmation on Sundays from 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM in the Parish Hall. All Faith Formation and Sacraments Classes will resume in person. Faith Formation Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 14 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. First Communion classes begin Thursday, October 6 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
Confirmation will begin classes on Thursday, October 6 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. To register for First Communion and Confirmation, please bring your Baptism certificate. For more information please contact Diana Zamora at 713-645-6673 or [email protected].

The writer of Sirach calls for humility; the humble will find favor with God. The author of Hebrews writes about Jesus as the mediator of the new covenant. In the Gospel, Jesus tells
the parable about a banquet, then instructs his host about whom to invite to a banquet. He emphasizes the importance of humility among his followers.

Our parish is conducting our campaign for DSF.
Please remember that DSF is much different than a one-time special collection. It is a campaign where you can make a gift payable in installments. The DSF theme, “All for the glory of God” was selected because the work done by the DSF-supported ministries glorifies the name of the Lord. Please let us know when you or a family member are ill, in the hospital, or having a surgery, especially if the illness or surgery is serious. Call the Parish Center at 713 -645-6673 so that we can put the name on the sick list for prayers and/or visitation if needed.

Baptism, 1st Communion, Confirmation, Marriage If you celebrated a Sacrament here at OLMC and need your certificate, please email [email protected].
Please include which certificate you need, your name, date of birth, and the approximate date of your ceremony along with a mailing address for the certificate to be sent and a phone number in case we have questions.
