The Medical Convoy in the New Valley Governorate from Wednesday, November 3, 2021 to Friday November 5, 2021
Under patronage Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, and Prof. Hamdy Ismael Shaaban, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Tanta University organized a medical convoy in the New Valley governorate in cooperation with the Supreme Committee of Medical Aid at the cabinet aiming to organize medical convoys in border governorates and remote areas.
The convoy was prepared under supervision of Prof.
Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Moreover, the convoy was held with participation of faculties of Medicine and Dentistry with attendance of 29 academic staff members in 15 specialties. Patients were examined and given medicaments for free as the convoy aimed to provide a great number of citizens with health care services to fulfil the university’s role in health, social, environmental and intellectual

development, and to benefit from its efficient specialized cadres in presenting quality medical care to the needy and in remote places.
The First Convoy in Bolak Village located in El-Kharga District in the New Valley Governorate on Thursday, November 4, 2021
The Convoy was inaugurated by Prof. Hamdy Ismael Shaaban,
University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, in attendance of Mr. Mohammed Abdel Aziz Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects, and Mr. Maher Hosny, General Manager of Community Service.
They inspected the activities of the convoy and the services it offers as well as taking the preventive measures ratified by WHO to keep all participants safe. Doctors examined 1044 patients who visited the convoy.

The Second Medical Convoy in Al-Monira Village Located in El- Kharga District in the New Valley Governorate on Friday,
November 5, 2021
Five surgeries were performed by Prof. Mahmoud Afifi,
Professor of General Surgery at Faculty of Medicine. 988 patients who visited the convoy were examined under supervision of Prof.
Mohammed Al-Shebiny, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine.
