Grupo Antolin and UNICEF join forces to ensure global equitable access

to COVID-19 vaccines

• The company will donate to UNICEF within the framework of the COVAX project, two solar-energy-powered refrigerators for health centers and 162,455 portable refrigerators for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in rural communities.

• COVAX is the most important logistics and health operation in history to facilitate access to the COVID-19 vaccine for countries with lower resources.

Burgos, 17 December, 2021- Grupo Antolin, global supplier of technological solutions for car interiors, collaborates with UNICEF in the COVAX project, as part of its traditional Children's Christmas Card Drawing Contest.

Under the slogan Make a wish!, the children of Grupo Antolin employees have participated, once again from different parts of the world, in the 27th edition of this solidarity contest with their Christmas drawings related to the activity of the company and the automotive world. The winning drawings, from Grupo Antolin centers of Germany, Brazil, Spain, Hungary, India, Mexico and Romania, have become Christmas cards with which the company will congratulate these holidays.

Thanks to the participation of the children, Grupo Antolin will donate to UNICEF within the framework of the COVAX project, two solar-energy-powered refrigerators for health centers and 162,455 portable refrigerators for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in rural communities. This donation will ensure the safe vaccine transport in optimal conditions and reach the largest number of communities and people.

COVAX is considered the most important logistics and health operation in history to facilitate equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine for countries with lower resources.

Led by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Alliance for Vaccination (GAVI) and the Coalition Epidemic Preparedness innovations (CEPI), UNICEF joins the project as the only organization with the experience and capacity to undertake the acquisition, shipment and distribution of vaccines, tests or treatments in these countries.

As part of this global response and in partnership with UNICEF, Grupo Antolin joins this project to make access to vaccination a reality for all people, regardless of the resources of each country, in the fight against the pandemic.
