High School Syllabus

Transitional Living 2012-2013

Course Description:

This is a small group course which focuses on "life skills" and the skills needed for the transition into adulthood/life after high school.

Course Content:

Individualized and based on IEP objectives

Course Requirements:

Complete projects and assignments Learn organizational strategies

Discuss, practice, and utilize self advocacy techniques Investigate realistic career options

Learn to complete forms and applications Apply functional math and reading skills Job skills and communication

Grade Components/Assessments:

Grades will be based on unit tests and quizzes as well as assignment and project completion.

Each marking period is worth 25% of a student’s overall grade.
