Introduction to The H Pylori Diet
Working on a one-to-one basis with my clients on a daily basis affords me the luxury of understanding each person’s health history and circumstances in great detail. In writing a book, I am unable to derive such detail about you.

No Magic Bullet
If you want to successfully eradicate H pylori and then,
importantly, keep it away, it is vital to understand that there is no magic bullet cure. If you have H pylori, there will often be other issues that you need to address in order to elevate your health to your desired level. I’d like to provide you with an example of what I mean.
I actually discovered that I had H pylori while I was working with Dr. Dan Kalish, a chiropractor and Functional Medicine practitioner of some fifteen years. I actually spent six months on Dr. Kalish’s Functional Medicine internship, learning how to apply natural medicine so that I could help my clients heal faster. At the time, I had some nasty heartburn and reflux symptoms, so I ran a stool antigen test, which returned
positive for H pylori. After running a natural stomach cleanse, my symptoms disappeared and I felt much better.
However I soon developed diarrhoea, which was very unusual for me. I ran a retest, using the same stool antigen test
procedure. It came back negative for H pylori, which was great news because it meant that the programme had worked, but it showed up a positive for a parasite called Blastocystis hominis. ‘Blasto’, as I affectionately call it, is a relatively common human parasite and can be the underlying cause of so-called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). When I ran a separate herbal protocol to eradicate the parasite, my loose stools disappeared.
My point is that H pylori may not be the only factor
contributing to your symptoms. In many cases, H pylori can be successfully eradicated but symptoms remain, or new ones appear. In these cases, it is important to do further investigation in order to uncover the cause of the problem.

You will need to eliminate certain foods to reduce inflammation in your digestive system, eat health-giving foods to support your body’s own innate healing power, sleep enough to allow your immune system to do its job and remove as much stress as you possibly can from your life. It is important to understand that adhering to these recommendations is a critical factor in determining your success. You can take the best, most expensive supplements in the world, but if you do not provide a solid foundation for your healing, the supplements simply may not work.

If you feel that you cannot implement all the changes immediately, please do not worry. Take the programme step-by-step. Just imagine what you can achieve in ten weeks by changing just one aspect of your diet and lifestyle each week.
I strongly encourage you to eliminate gluten, cow’s milk and soy from your diet as soon as you possibly can. These are,
perhaps, the most important steps in the entire process. I have seen people’s symptoms clear completely by taking these steps alone.
The supplement recommendations provided in the stomach cleanse section of the programme are based on many years of clinical experience and teachings that have been passed down to me by number of leading natural health practitioners.
As I have found new ways of helping my clients, I’ve adapted these protocols to suite the legal requirements of different countries. Different protocols exist, for example, if you live in Australia.
If your symptoms are mild, I recommend waiting at least 8 weeks from commencing the nutrition programme before you use the supplement protocols.
