CAPÍTULO 2. MARCO TEÓRICO
2.6. El aprendizaje basado en el Pensamiento
The twenty-two connecting paths have an additional set of "invisible" paths that are not included in any of the traditional literature but which can be worked out by experienced students on their own. Simply look at two spheres that could have a path between them but do not; there you have the location of an "invisible path."
For our purposes, only the paths below Beauty (Tipharcth) w ill be examined These relate to the problems of the ego and the body, as well as the related psychological disturbances that often link and affect both of them. This trinity of "self," body, and unconscious forces of rational
thought, emotions, and instincts is the main area of work in all spiritual systems.
The paths themselves have less of a healing property, as that is really the domain of the elements and the planets, but instead unite diverse energies and create conditions and contexts in which healing is more likely to occur. However, as we will see, certain paths need to be functioning well for any healing to take place.
Traditionally, using the paths for healing purposes has been very straightforward. Each path has an elemental, planetary, or zodiacal correspondence, and it is this relationship that has been used to establish the healing properties of the paths. This is a simple, direct, and effective method of working with the paths, and any experienced Kabbalist will instantly recognize the reasons for the relationships given. However, this process ignores the

influences of the spheres that form the terminals of the path. Both systems will be presented here, with the difference being not in their execution but in the results the operator and/or recipient desires from the experience. Less depends on what you do than on what you intend to do. Your intention, or Will, is everything. The following list of the paths and their influences over the parts of the body is a good place to start and is taken from the correspondences used within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. For additional diseases covered by the paths, consult a work on traditional Western herbalism in which the astrological and planetary rulerships of the organs arc listed. The finest work on this to date is Culpeper's Medicine: A Practice of Western Holistic Medicine, by Graeme Tobyn.
Anyone seriously interested in working with traditional Western holistic healing, wherein the importance of zodiacal and planetary forces is utilized, must read this book.

If you would like to work with a particular path but are unsure if it is appropriate, check the general description of the planetary or astrological influence given above and compare it to the illness you seek to address. You may end up doing more than one path.
At some point, however, the choice may not always be clear-cut and you will have to trust your intuition <m which path, given its energy, will be more appropriate for the condition being addressed. The additional information given below may also assist in identifying which paths to use for releasing emotional and mental blocks as well.
NOTE: When doing Path working for spiritual purposes, we address the relationship of the spheres of each path from the lower sphere to the higher one. When addressing the paths for physical health, we address the spheres from the higher one to the lower one.
From the health perspective, our desire is to draw energy down along the Path of Mczla (Creation)
and not simply traverse the Path of Return in search of some possible and undetermined psychic experience. It is eery important that the intention of returning with energy for a change in consciousness and physical health he firmly implanted in the subconscious of the operator and all participants when preparing for this hind of Pathworhing;

this intention must be reinforced once the Sphere of Completion is reached and before the return journey has begun.

Twenty-fourth Path
This path is concerned with the relationship between our emotions and higher influences. Through this path, our human expressions can be expanded—or our divine aspects can be reduced to ego-satisfying behaviors. Through its influences on Venus, this is. a path of purification. It affects the kidneys, skin, and sexual organs, but also the heart on several levels simultaneously, and secondarily it affects excretion (as a result of purification). This path brings harmony to whatever Is brought to it. with a strong influence on physical life and health.
'¡wenty-third Path

Twenty-second Path
This path is concerned with the balancing out and harmonizing of our physical energies with our emotions and our sense of self. Because of the intense emotion and conflict that this path can symbolize, it is very good for those who feel the need to always be pleasant and nonthreatcning, only to explode or run from conflict at a later point. Issues of the heart, symbolically and literally, are what this path addresses. Through it, physical health (Mars) can be brought to strengthen the will and the sense of self as well as the physical heart (Sun) through finding true inner balance, or imperturbability (Libra).
Twenty-first Path
This path affects our ability to expand and assimilate our capacity for health and well-being as a whole. In this aspcct, it is one of the most important paths on the Tree as far as physical health is concerned. Jupiter is health and general wellness acting on itself, thereby multiplying its influence into our daily life through Venus—emotional and physical harmony. Therefore, the powers of Venus are multiplied and expanded. Once again, the powers of the body to harmoniously purify itself should be enhanced (as opposed to the more rigorous effects of the twenty-third path), and overall coordination

improved. Assimilation in terras of digestion and respiration will also be affected. This path is concerned with the long-term effects of our daily actions on our health.
