Capítulo 5 Estudio de factibilidad
5.5 Análisis de costos y beneficios
The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, represents one of the few offensive weapons in our arsenal. But praise God, it provides all that we need, for the Word contains every spiritual weapon.
Speak the Word in faith and it becomes yours. Every deliverance worker must have the Word of God at the tip of his tongue. Not knowing the Word is like leaving
your weapons at home. Demons hate hearing the Word, especially those Scriptures that tell about their defeat. It is impossible to list all warfare Scriptures since the entire Bible applies, but we frequently say the following:
• We have been given all authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall by any means hurt us (Luke 10:19).
• Jesus has defeated you. He spoiled principalities and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them. He took away the keys to hell and death (Col. 2:15; Rev. 1:18).
• And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out demons (Mark 16:17).
• And He gave them power over demons to cast them out. The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. I hereby divide and separate this person´s soul from his spirit and turn over complete control of soul and spirit to our Lord Jesus.
• Listen to the Word of God, demon. Matthew 16:19 says that whatsoever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever I loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I now bind the strongman of Pride (or other) over this person in Jesus´ name. I cut off all cords between you and any other spirit in this person.
• The entire chapter of Isaiah 47.
• The entire chapter of Revelation 18.
• The entire chapter of Revelation 20.
• Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world (1 John. 4:4).
• He who has the keys of David, what door he closes, none shall open; and what door he opens, none shall close (Rev. 3:7).
• I have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. The blood cleanses (Rev. 1:5).
• The Lord will cause a drought to be upon her waters (Jer. 50:38; 51:36). I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
• I dry up your river, even as the Jordan was dried up and the people of God went into the promised land on dry ground (Josh. 3:16).
• I dry up your roots even as the Lord Jesus dried up the fig tree (Matt. 21:19).
• I knock down your two-leaved gates and the gates shall not be shut. I break in pieces your gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron (Isa. 45:1-2).
• I break down your walls even, as the walls of Jericho came tumbling down (Josh. 6:5).
• I bind up the strongman in the heavens over this person (or church, area, house, family, et cetera) in the name of Jesus. We have all authority to bind you up, for the Lord said, "Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matt 18:18).
• We cut off your cords (Ps. 129:4). We cast them away.
• We break all curses of iniquity coming down the family line on the mother´s side and the father´s side, ten generations backwards and forwards.
• We claim our Lord Jesus Christ as our curse, for it is written, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree" (Gal. 3:13).
• We command you to bend your knee to Jesus and to confess that Jesus is Lord, for it is written,
"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:10-11).
• I put a hook in your nose, a cord around your tongue, and I bore a thorn in your jaw (Job 41).
(This is a very effective Scripture when you´re up against a serpent, which is quite often.)
When fighting against Jezebel, the primary chapters are Isaiah 47, Revelation 17, and Revelation 18. You can extract verses or read the whole passage to them. The following sequence has been used many times:
• I take away your throne and I destroy it in the name of Jesus. I command you to sit in the dust.
You are no queen. You are no virgin. Neither are you tender and delicate. You´re just an old hag
(Isa. 47:1).
• You are common. Grind meal, uncover your locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. You are exposed (Isa. 47:2-3).
• You´re no queen. Bow your knee.
Many other warfare Scriptures deserve memorizing.
You don´t have to memorize it exactly, but you cannot twist the meaning of it. Demons know when you misquote.
Often, stubborn spirits leave when I read Revelation chapter twenty to them. Again, what works in one case may not work in another.
I cannot overemphasize the importance of memorizing Scripture. Rebecca Brown relates an incident she had one dark night when a group of satanists surrounded her home and started sending curses and evil spirits to the inhabitants of her house.
For two hours she sat in total darkness and quoted Scriptures one after another. As she continued to quote warfare and praise Scriptures, the enemy was unable to come in, and the waves of evil sent against the occupants gradually faded away. The two young women in the home who did not know Scripture . felt defenseless and terrified (Brown, He Came to Set the Captives Free, 213-230; 270-271).
Pride
The deliverance worker must always be careful that Pride does not creep into him or her. It is so easy to become proud when you see demons flee. You start to
think that you are very powerful and anointed. The demons know, and God knows. Once, a deliverance worker felt quite proud of herself. Though often instructed to rid herself of the spirit of Pride, she never did. During a deliverance session, she hopped over to assist by praying on the side. The demons laughed and said to her, "Don´t make me laugh. You´re so full of pride, you can´t get any of us out. We´ve got you. Ha, Ha, Ha." The woman´s face became as red as a beet. She was so befuddled and embarrassed that she left in a huff.
Needless to say, a deliverance session with her for Pride was in order.
Pride erodes your walk with God. God knows exactly what´s in your heart. It´s the Holy Spirit that delivers and the blood of Jesus that gives us the victory.
Whenever we think it is by our own power and holiness, we stumble. We need to keep ourselves humble before the Lord at all times. No man or woman can say that he or she healed delivered someone. I have never delivered or healed anyone in my life. It was always Jesus, through His Spirit!
