Your application will be based on the results of your secondary, tertiary or other accredited academic qualifications including:

≥ Previous university study (minimum two units)
≥ Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) results
≥ Work experience (minimum of 12 months full-time or equivalent work)
≥ Each qualification will be allocated a rank.
Regional bonus points – If you are a non- current school leaver (not completing Year 12 or International Baccalaureate at the time of applying for university) and live or study in the Western Sydney region, you will automatically receive five bonus points when you apply through UAC to study at Western Sydney University.

HOW MUCH WILL MY COURSE COST AND DO I NEED TO PAY THE FEES STRAIGHT AWAY?
All courses at Western Sydney University are Commonwealth supported for Australian citizens and permanent residents, meaning that undergraduate tuition fees are subsidised
HOW MANY HOURS WILL I SPEND AT UNI?
As a full-time student on campus, you should expect to spend 12–16 hours each week in lectures or tutorials between 8am and 9pm, Monday to Friday. Practical courses will require out of hours involvement and some courses require off-campus placements.
HOW LONG ARE THE TEACHING SESSIONS?
Most degrees are taught in two sessions – the Autumn session (from March to June) and the Spring session (from July to November). Western Sydney University also offers an optional Summer session (from December to February), during which students can undertake additional units if they are available.
WHAT IS UNIVERSITY LIFE LIKE?
Learning is the major aspect of university life, but there are also many opportunities available for networking, support and extra- curricular activities (not necessarily related to study).
