He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

You will do yourselves a lot of good if you listen to the word of God because the Spirit speaks to the church.

Him that overcometh

Overcometh what? What does He want us to overcome again?

1. DEVIL?

The Bible tells us that Jesus Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Then again the Bible says Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Then He gave us the authority over the devils. They have been overcome.

2. WORLD?

Jesus said John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

He overcame the world. So we don’t have to overcome.

3. FLESH?

The Bible says Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. We don’t need to try to overcome the flesh because we have overcome already.

To the 7 churches He said to him that overcometh. What does He want us to overcome?

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

It is a fight of faith. It’s what the Master wants us to overcome. To fight the good fight of faith.

All we have to fight is a fight of faith. Whether or not your faith will triumph all we have is a

111 | P a g e fight of faith. The devil is being defeated, the world has been overcome and the flesh has been crucified. What’s left? The appropriation of what the master has already done to our lives.

Here is where the problem is. Seeing what He has given you in spite of everything that your senses can perceive. Holding on to that which He has given you in spite of sensory evidence. Here is the fight of faith. When we talk about changing hopeless situations what you don’t know is that God is not at all troubled with your desire to change a situation in life that you have found yourself that you don’t like. The truth is He is actually watching to see you change that situation. He actually wants you to do something about it. When you successfully do something about it and change that situation you are honoured. God honours you for your triumph of faith. God is happy to see you in the case you are today. Because He knows that you can actually change the situation and by changing it you are actually honoured for it. Your spiritual promotions are based on these things. 7 times we read it. He that overcometh I will do this.. He that overcometh.. He that overcometh..

Here you are wanting to have a child and God is waiting for you to overcome that situation. Here you are 5 years no job and God is waiting to see you change that situation. He wants you to. Here you are with some doctor’s report that shows that something is wrong with your body. But you have come to a large place already – you have come to a wealthy place. (Psalm 18:19) The lines are fallen unto you in pleasant places.

(Psalm 16:6) You are here now. You have arrived. In the place of change. God wants to see you change that situation. You may not realise until you study the word of God that God really wants us to do something about our lives. Where ever you are today it’s your responsibility to move to a higher level. A lot of time we think God is going to bring us there. I want you to know that in the mind of God you are already in the best place you could ever be in your life. And now it’s up to you to work your way there and meet Him at the point of faith.

Understand this!

God doesn’t know that you cannot have a baby.

God doesn’t know that you have migraine headaches.

God doesn’t know that you don’t have money. He does not know!

You say There is nothing that God doesn’t know! You just found out. He doesn’t know.

He is not aware! God doesn’t know that you cannot stop smoking.

He doesn’t know that you cannot stop telling lies.

God’s word is God’s light. The Bible tells that God dwells in the light that no man can approach unto. (1 Timothy 6:16) Hallelujah! Glory!!!

Amen.

He is the only one who has immortality dwelling in the light. The light which no man can approach unto and whom no man has seen nor can see. As He dwells in that light no man can see Him. Why is it that no man can see Him?

Everyone living the life of a man cannot see Him. But everyone that lives the divine life of faith can see Him.

The Bible says that faith works by love. John says one who walks in love has seen God.

The one who doesn’t walk in it cannot see God. Why? Because the light is blinding the man. Man cannot see the glory of that light. He cannot! As long as he talks as a man as long as he walks like a man he cannot see Christ. For Christ dwells in immortality. The glory of the light which no man can approach unto. The light is the word of God.

For the word of God is light. As long as you live like a man you will not see the word. Because the word transforms you.

The Bible says Enoch was translated that he should not see death.

There is a transforming power in the word of God that stops you from living the life of a man to the God life. The natural man can’t see it. But the sons of God can see it.

Jesus said Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

Christ lives in the light which no man can approach unto and no man can see Him because of the glory of that light. There is where He lives and they can’t find Him. Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom. What is the Kingdom of God? The Kingdom of God is that place where divinity reigns. The Kingdom of God is that place where only the life and nature of God dominates. The Kingdom of God is that place where only the light of God shines. Until a man is born again he cannot see the Kingdom. When you see the kingdom you cannot but stay in the kingdom.

The problem is we live too much on this level. We see too much of this level. We look around and we see we are broke. We look around and we see no money. We look around and we see that we are sick. We look around and we see all the difficulties of this life.

The Bible says looking unto Jesus. How can you look at a one that you can’t see? If you are a man you cannot see Him.

Therefore you have to be a son of God born of the Spirit of God. The Bible says If we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit. If you have the life of the spirit then live that way.

living from here there.

You look down and carry the problems there and say God see my trouble.. Please help me. You know people have misunderstood the things of God. They say Let us face reality. I will to God that they will understand what reality is. You are talking about shadows.

They say They have not given me the money.

Yes you are looking at uncertain riches. Riches that are not trustworthy. You are looking at an uncertain job. A job that is not trustworthy. You are looking at your womb that is not trustworthy.

You are looking at your physical body. And that will not work.

The Bible says No man can approach that light. Why can’t they approach it? Because they can’t see it. They can’t find it.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for.

I tell you

something when you live the life of faith, the time will come when you will wonder whether you are mad. Because you look at your life and you look at the lives of others and you just can’t talk that way.

You just have that confidence of something that other are trembling of.

I never forget the story I once read about the young prince of France.

Little boy! When the French revolution took place they got a hold of him and killed his father. Then they said Let’s kill the boy. And some others said No if you kill him he’s too young. He’ll go to heaven and that’s too good for his bad father. Before he dies let us give him to a witch. Let the witch teach him to curse.

Let him learn abusive language. Then he can die and go to hell. He’s too innocent.

So they gave this little boy to a witch and they taught him to curse. The witch tried and tried and tried to make the boy curse and say the wrong thing. This little boy won’t say it.

Finally the boy said I cannot say such things. I was born to be a prince! He would not curse. He would not use that language.

You come to a point in your life there are things you just cannot say. You’ve gone too far to say them. You are born that way. You cannot say I don’t know whether I’m going to die. It’s too late.

Too late to say I am average. Too late to say I cannot get a job. Too late. But when you don’t know you walk on in darkness.

I have said ye are gods and all of you are children of the Most High. But ye shall die like men and fall like one of the princes. Why? They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:

try to get something. The reason for working is not to make a living. It’s to make a giving.

Work to make a giving. Not a living.

Did you know for the rest of your life you have an inheritance?

If you were to sleep all your days – you have something beyond what you could spend on the face of the earth? The only reason that you should not be allowed to sleep all your days is you won’t be acting like your Father who makes a giving with His life.

You should be up and about wanting to do something good for somebody. Take a job and work with dignity. It doesn’t just end in having a job. It’s having a job and understanding what you are doing. If you sell, sell good. You want people to have because it’s good for them. You render services do well because

it will help somebody. They pay you but that money you get is not your life source. It’s a compensation for your effort. Always do more than you are paid for. That is the principle. Always!

He is in the light that no man can approach unto. Only those who are born into that light can see Him. Only those who are born into that light can see Him.

The question is have you seen Him?

That’s why we preach. To make Him known. So man can see Him.

Heard about a man in Trinidad. The man was so wicked and he was in the hotel business. He didn’t want to hear Christians talk about Jesus.

He hated the Son of God. When this crusade came to town they said Why are they gathered there? So many thousands? Why? Then he thought Let me go and find out what these fools are listening to.

So he went down to meet the fools. He called them fools. When he got there listening to the Gospel the next thing he knew Jesus stood right in front of him. All He said was I am Jesus. When Jesus said that to that young man tears began to come out of his eyes. He knew at once that his sins were forgiven. He knew at once that he was purified by God.

And he was the one screaming He’s alive! He’s alive!! I’ve seen Him!

He’s alive! They found that it was this hotel owner who was such a bad guy came screaming He’s alive! He’s alive! I’ve seen Him. He looked at me. He smiled at me. I’ve seen Him. He is Jesus!

Not long ago one of my pastors sent me a letter. In that letter he said that he was in his house and someone came in. He looked and it was Jesus. This was last week I got this letter. Pastor said He just looked at him and smiled at him. He didn’t say anything. He just smiled at him.

115 | P a g e He said When I saw Him, the glory of His face was so much. I couldn’t look at the light coming out of His face. Dear Pastor Jesus is so beautiful. Jesus is real. He’s real!

And he has been a pastor for some time. Now he tells me Jesus is real.

The deadest thing I know is to preach a dead Christ because it will kill you.

Now here we are and God wants to see us come out of that situation not with tears and crying O What I went through.. No! He wants us coming out. Hallelujah! Watch this.

A lot of times we give testimonies and many of us don’t know what a testimony really is. A testimony is not Oh I was sick and God healed me. In the ordinary children’s class we call that testimony. But when you come into the class for seniors you can be reprimanded for calling that a testimony. That is not a testimony. A testimony is not Well brothers and sisters, I want to tell you what happened. When I was travelling to such and such a place that that that happened and so we went to the and so we prayed and so we confessed. So I thank God who brought me out.

Is that the testimony? You are only testifying that God brought you out of something. That is not what glorifies Him.

What do you mean by testimony? Listen to me.

The testimony is His Word.

Are you with me? Are you sure you are catching? Or are you there wondering what is he saying? The word of God is the testimony.

When we take the word of God whether or not we have experienced it in our lives, we proclaim the word. See the word of God is your life. Do you want to see a change? You will not see it until you say it.

Don’t say it in a struggle and think you’ve said it. If you say it and you are struggling you are just walking on your believing. You haven’t believed yet. You haven’t gotten there yet. When you are still trying to think What is the problem? What have I done? Why is my prayer not being answered?

When you are talking like that you haven’t gotten it yet. It’s not faith yet.

A problem that a lot of God’s people have is a misunderstanding of what faith really is. They think that faith is When I say I got it –but I don’t really have it but I still say I got it and I will get it. So when they practice. I’m not sick. Even though I feel it I’m not sick. I’m very tired. They are looking for something to qualify their situation. So they have got a problem. They are in a quagmire. They don’t know what exactly to say to describe what they are going through. Do you know what their problem is? They are trying to describe what they are going through. They have gotten things messed up. They have their perception of their life upside down.

You are not supposed to be telling people what you are going through. You are supposed to be telling people what has been done for you.

Must you say See I just want you to know what I’m going through.. Who wants a rub off of your problems one more time? It’s no use. If you told somebody what you are going through that doesn’t mean it can help you.

time. We have come from that environment. So we say Hey look what I’m going through. Because if I don’t tell you what I’m going through I might just die. So HELP!!!

Peter cried for help. You have to build your faith.
