The Champaign County Community Development Corporation is a bank-owned, county-wide CDC organized exclusively for the stimulation of private sector investment in small business enterprises to foster community revitalization, growth, and job creation opportunities. The corporation’s primary purpose is furthering the economic development and social welfare within the entire area of Champaign County with specific emphasis on promoting and financing business modernization, adoption, and implementation of new product processes or technologies and fostering the creation and expansion of business enterprises.

The mission of the Champaign County Convention & Visitors Bureau is to provide leadership in coordinating efforts that serve to promote Champaign-Urbana and Champaign County by encouraging growth in visitor and convention-related business. The Bureau is committed to the promotion of the community, community- wide tourism events, and related activities sponsored by both the Bureau and other organizations. The Bureau’s role is to assist others in developing new products and to emphasize local amenities. It is our goal to provide convention, meeting, and event services of such high quality that clients will return to our area on a continuing basis. The Bureau strives to market the cities to prospective clients whose needs can be fulfilled by our tourism and convention products and services. We are dedicated to making residents, visitors, and convention delegates aware of the tremendous resources available in Champaign County. The Convention & Visitors Bureau serves Urbana, Rantoul, Philo, Pesotum, St. Joseph, Ogden, Mahomet, Ludlow, Ivesdale, Nomer, Gifford, Fisher, Bondville, Broadlands, Tolono, Thomasboro, Savoy, Sidney, Sadorus, Royal, and Champaign Counties.

The Economic Partnership provides leadership in coordinating unified efforts in business development, retention, and expansion; convention and visitor development and retention; and increased use of the University of Illinois, Willard Airport through local and regional marketing efforts.
The Economic Partnership assists businesses with establishing new and expanded operations in Champaign-Urbana and Champaign County; assists existing business and industry with survival, expansion, and growth, and provides start-up businesses with information about the Champaign-Urbana and Champaign County marketplace.
