We are not discussing hi-fi issues which require audit ing and the involvement of international auditors. When people give charity to the Mosque, charity boxes are a lready present there and no auditing is done, and the whole procedure is kept very simple on purpose.

The scale of the activity need not be worried abou t. It simp ly involves feeding the poor two mea ls a day. The Masjid committee should be able to manage that. Even if people cheat in the process, they will still be feeding the poor along with it. If the basic pilla rs of Fa ith and Sadaqah are not there then nothing will be achievable. However we cannot abandon something so good for fear of deception. We simply have to restart the system which has been totally disregarded for a long time. The main reason for the crisis in the world today is because people have neither food security nor social security. Individuals might get sick and may not have money for treatment; even if they do have an income, it is only enough to somehow ma ke ends meet for a month. If an e mergency arises there is no social security. This can only be provided by the whole commun ity for the weaker sections of the society. It becomes the responsibility of those whom Allah has blessed with wea lth to take care of the poor.

There is also the concept of Qardh Hasan which is a major part of Ba it ul Maal. The poor who need money can take loans from there instead of the bank which takes interest. They can pay it back without interest or if they cannot, it can be forgiven. They should not become full time beggars. We have to help them support themselves. We can start businesses for them with loans and provide an education to take them forward. A coordinated network between the rich and the poor should be established in every commun ity.

Brotherhood is manifestation of the social security concept; a collective insurance arrangement where people can rest assured that they do not have to worry; there are brothers in the commun ity who will ta ke care of the m. This would be due to their relat ionship based on the same deen, praying in the same Masjid, and living in the same area.

The concept of Brotherhood is so strong that even inheritance can be given to them. If these basic laws of character are applied, nations will become mo re stable.

No-one will then commit suicide due to hunger, or abandon their households because they could not take care of their children or fulfill their needs etc. Once all this starts in some communit ies, others will fo llow automatica lly.

Govern ments are doing it but it has to be done individually an d collective ly also. We can set up institutions to feed

the poor in all areas in the same manner as post offices and telephone offices are established in all areas. We don‘t have to wait for anyone. People will be able to contribute themselves.

These may look like baby steps but they will bring ma jor changes and weaken the existing global economic system, which is trying to starve people to death. It has distributed wealth unequally. We have to arrange for food and social security of the people and spread the act at a national level.

Overview

We need not clash headon with their system; we can bypass it. We can leave it in its place, develop solutions and slowly shift to them. We just have to obstruct the success of their intentions. They want us to starve to death; we must feed the poor. They do not want any system of social security in countries and wish to create conflicts between them and spread chaos; we must provide social security without any partiality, take responsibility of the weak in the society at a collective leve l, use Mosques as community centers where they can be fed, register the m for help and for Qardh Hasan. There will be mistakes, deceptions and problems. But this should be done in spite of all that.

Everyone can contribute and do their part, fro m feed ing the poor to establishing the gold exchange. Major trading deals can be sealed through the gold exchange without government intervention and without declaring war against the existing banking system. Govern ments will only support and respect such moves. We simply have to organize, and make an institution of this system in all areas in our countries, and start forming an Islamic economic model against the Zionist banking system. It is a possible task. Our model is our Islamic history of 1400 years. We should take the initiative, leave behind the governments and help ourselves. When no one in the community sleeps hungry and when the less fortunate are not worried about their s ustenance and security, then blessings will start pouring in.

―There is enough for everybody‘s need but there is not enough for everybody‘s greed‖. Therefore desires should be limited and extra wealth should be placed in the Bait ul Maal to see how many fa milies are helped with that contribution. When there is a social uplift of the people around us, then everyone will move forward. There will be no beggars; there will be less crime and less negativ ity in the society. People will not have reason to beg as everyone would know there is a system of social security in the society. Charity should not be stopped due to some deceiving people. No one should talk about partiality, tribalis m, language etc. Everyone should be favored. The economic model should be repaired through gold exchanges and trading. Muslims keep money in banks as they do not have opportunities to invest. When gold exchanges and intercommunity trading takes place, they will have opportunities within the Muslim commun ities and the money will be circulated. Isla mic mutual funds, profit-loss sharing etc. can be established for investment opportunities at the community leve l. Insha Allah, Allah will bless us.
