A non-profit agency that assists immigrants, refugees and new Canadians. MOSAIC’s services include: family programs, English instruction, employment training, settlement services, volunteer programs, paralegal advocacy, interpretation and translation, and community outreach and support. MOSAIC works with institutions and community agencies in the areas of anti-racism, inclusion, accessibility, promotion of multiculturalism, volunteer development and placement, service coordination and community building. MOSAIC’s services are free, except for translations and interpretation services (though clients in need can apply for a subsidy).

Provides free, culturally sensitive and confidential services to immigrant, visible minority and refugee women and children who are experiencing family violence. Offers crisis intervention, individual and group counselling, advocacy, referrals and support from workers in over twenty languages. Free legal clinics on family/immigration law are offered to immigrant women once a month, along with free legal advocacy around issue of employment and housing. Single Mothers’ Support Groups are also offered.

Provides peer support program that give mental, physical and social support to marginalized immigrant and refugee women by training women from various ethnic groups to lead and facilitate peer-support groups in their first language.
