Arudha Lg: Simha (AL)
Upapada Lg: Kumbha (UL)
Matrupada: Vrishabha (A4)
Chart 44 is quite similar to chart 38. However, in chart 44 Ketu is stronger than Mangal as it conjoins Atmakarak Chandr exalted in Vrishabha and determines Arudha in Simha (instead of Kumbha as in chart 38). This brings about a sea of change in chart. Upapada in both charts is in Kumbha but in chart 38 it conjoins Arudha Lagna making for a happily married house holder while in chart 44 Upapada in Kumbha is opposed to Arudha Lagna in Simha and aspects 12th Bhavas Karkataka & Thula. Native
preferred life of a monk at ISKCON. Both chart 38 and chart 44 have exactly similar combinations bearing on 4th Bhava except that chart 38 has Arudha Lagna in 4th Bhava while chart 44 has the same in Simha where 4th Bhava Kumbha aspects 12th from Arudha Lagna. Further, Chandr becoming Atmakarak is in Ghatak Rasi from Lagna in Vrishabha in 7th Bhava (grand-mother). Since Vrishabha is stronger than Vrischika, it initiates Narayan Dasas and the period of Vrishabha is for one year. Thus, within 1st year of birth native was separated from his parents and lived with his grand-parents.

Chart 45 - male, born on 18th July 1956, at 03:47 am IST, at Calcutta, 22 N 35, 88 E 23.
Arudha Lg: Meena (AL)
Matru Pada: Dhanur (A4)
In chart 45, 4th Lord Budh is well placed in its own Rasi Mithuna generating a Bhadra Mahapurush Yoga. It is subject to a negative Papakartari Yoga between Surya and Ketu that indicates loss of vehicles etc. at the time of downfall in business. Kanya 4th Bhava has Argala of Surya in 11th from it obstructed by Sani, Rahu & Chandr in 3rd Bhava from it. Sukr and Ketu in 9th Bhava from it are unobstructed. In Kalamsa (D-16) Karkataka rises with Mangal in 4th Bhava involved in a Parivartan Yoga with Sukr in 5th Bhava. Exact implications of this Parivartan are to be understood as that during sub-sub-periods of Sukr native will prefer to purchase vehicles ruled by Mangal (i.e. choice of army, like Jeeps, Land Rovers, Tata Sumo, Gypsy etc.). The number of the vehicle, expunging area codes etc., should be divided by 12. The remainder should be counted from Mesha. This should be in Arudha Lagna or its 5th, 7th or 9th Bhava or Rasi occupied by its Lord.
After entering business native purchased his 1st vehicle on 9th January 1991. Dasa, sub and sub-sub-period was Ketu
Chart 44

- Guru - Sukr. The number of the vehicle was 6966 which divided by 12 gives a remainder of 6 (Kanya). Rasi is in 7th Bhava from Arudha Lagna in Meena. Number of vehicle, when digits are added, gives a single number of 9 (6 + 9 + 6 + 6 = 27, 2 + 7 = 9 - Mangal). Vehicle was a Maruti Gypsy (Jeep). Astrological combinations pointed towards success and rise and in a short span of a few year, he had accumulated half Crore rupees. Chandr on the date was in Swati star in Thula 4th Bhava in Kalamsa as Surya was in Dhanur, Matrupada.
With the advent of Sukr Dasa, downturn in business was destined to occur and he took a massive loan for expansion.
Simultaneously, he changed his vehicle for a better Tata Sumo. Vehicle was purchased on 15th July 1994 when Chandr was in Kanya in Hasta star during Dasa, sub and sub-sub period of Sukr - Sukr - Mangal. The number of vehicle was 6957 (remainder 9 Dhanur). The sub-sub period was of Mangal who owns Marak places (2nd & 7th) from 4th Bhava in Kalamsa (D-16). Thus, Parivartan Yoga does not automatically make both Grahas benefic. Type of the product is indicated by Mangal while benefic sub-sub-period is indicated by Sukr. With vehicle number sign (VNS) in Dhanur that does not fit into 1st, 5th, 7th or 9th from AL, a massive downfall was expected and it happened. He was on the verge of selling off his factory when he met the scribe. He was advised to first dispose of his Tata Sumo and take another vehicle with VNS at 12 and total of 3 (Guru ruling AL). He was also told that this will happen around October 1997. In Dasa, sub, sub-sub period of Sukr - Surya - Sukr, he purchased a second-hand Sedan of number 3612 (remainder 12 Meena) in October 1997. His business has started picking up and he repaid more than 50 % of debt.
Following inferences should be drawn from this case study:
(a) Vehicle number sign (VNS) should be in 1st, 5th, 7th, 9th or Paka Arudha Lagna.
(b) Total of the digits of the number should be of a Graha beneficial to AL else vehicle can meet with an accident.
Table 11 - Numbers of Grahas

(c) Vehicle should be purchased during sub-sub-period (Pratyantar Dasa) of Lord of 4th Bhava in Kalamsa (D-16 chart also called Shodasamsa).
(d) Lord of 4th Bhava in Kalamsa (D-16) chart should be regularly propitiated for happiness and comfortable life. Till October 1997, when I felt he would purchase a second-hand car, he had various options before that, but only in October 1997 he was offered a Contessa. Number of the car when divided by 12 leaves a remainder of 12 (i.e. fully divisible) which is the same as his Arudha Lagna. His
business has automatically started picking up.
Chart 46 - male, born on 16th July 1948, at 10:10 am IST, at Poona, 18 N 34, 73 E 58.
In chart 46, there is a Gajakesari Yoga in 4th Bhava as its Lord Mangal is placed in 2nd Bhava from Lagna. This indicates the possession of a beautiful house and properties, more so since Mangal is also placed in 4th from Arudha Lagna as 4th Lord Budh is in strength in AL.
Native owns factory sheds which he hires out. Arudha Lagna has a powerful Budh - Sukr conjunction in Mithuna indicating possession of fine vehicles.
In Kalamsa chart (D-16) Kanya rises with Budh in 9th Bhava to show that luxuries of life will come from father (inheritance). 4th Bhava is Dhanur with Yogakarak. Sukr in it confirming possession of fine vehicles as 4th Lord Guru forms Gajakesari Yoga with Chandr in 2nd Bhava to show all luxuries of modern life. From 4th Bhava, 2nd Lord Sani (a dire malefic for Dhanur) is in 8th Bhava while Mangal not only causes unobstructed malefic Argala on Sukr & 4th Bhava but also aspects Lagna and 4th Bhava (by Rasi Dristi).
In Rudramsa chart (D-11) Sukr is in 6th Bhava as malefic Lords of 3rd, 6th and 8th
Bhavas, Mangal and Sani, cause Papakartari Yoga on 4th Bhava. Jaimini teaches that in Rudramsa, 6th Bhava should be examined for punishment and 11th Bhava for death-like suffering. Sukr in 6th Bhava indicates punishment due to a weakness for opposite sex. Native was warned to stay away from prostitutes as stars had clearly warned that a severe punishment was coming. In February 1997 during Vimsottari period of Sukr Dasa, Mangal Antara, Sani Pratyantar when he was heading

towards his nocturnal addition, his car overturned. He survived, but injury to his right hand was severe and had to be operated upon. The question posed was whether hand would have to be amputated? 4th Bhava rules loss of arms as per Jaimini and we have Sani - Surya conjunction in Matrupada (A4 Karkataka) pointing at danger. This question was being posed as Pratyantar Dasa of Sani. However, Surya (Ista Deva - Lord Siva) is also Lord of Lagna and Karkataka was aspected by Guru and Chandr placed in 4th Bhava. With a silent prayer to Lord Siva I had replied that the arm would be saved but a few more operations will be required uptill November 1997 when Antardasa of Mangal ends.
Keeping with my request Mahamritunjaya Japa was performed and native recovered. After 3 surgeries his arm and right palm have had more than 95 % recovery.
4.6
Properties
In Chaturthamsa (D-4) of chart 46, 4th Bhava is Simha with Dhankarak Guru placed in it. Unless Dhankarak Guru is well placed in Chaturthamsa, it is unlikely that native can have wealth through properties. 2nd from 4th Bhava (& Guru) has Mangal and exalted Budh. This Argala indicating possession of properties (Mangal - Bhoomikarak) and some of these will be of great commercial value (Budh - business). Thus combination confirms wealth through hiring out as well as using one's own commercial establishments. Native has 4 large factory spaces in Okhla industrial area of Delhi and uses one for his own business. Ownership is guaranteed by exalted Budh (lordship of 2nd and 5th Bhava) and its placement in 5th Bhava (what one owns - Shristhana). Hiring out of buildings factory space is shown by conjunction of 4th
Lord Surya with Ketu (Grihakarak - buildings / factory space) in 3rd Bhava (signing of agreements / contracts). 3rd Bhava obstructs Argala of 5th Bhava and hence, during the period of leasing out the factory native can not use it for his own purposes. In this manner effects of obstruction of Argala are to be examined. If obstruction is caused by functional benefics to 4th Bhava, there will be no problems with tenants while functional malefics can give various problems.
Sukr, as Lord of Chaturthamsa Lagna plays a controlling role as it represents native and shows his ideals, views etc.
regarding properties. Being in 2nd Bhava, it shows his view as being purely wealth oriented. This has Subha Argala (benefic intervention) both on Lagna as well as 4th Bhava thereby showing income from properties that will fill his coffers. Since this Argala is unobstructed, this wealth will accrue unobstructed.
Mangal as 7th Lord shows tenants and it conjoins exalted Budh while in mutual aspect with Sukr (Rasi Dristi). A debilitated Chandr is in 7th Bhava aspected by Surya, Sani, Ketu & Rahu. This is a very bad situation. Mangal is also 12th Lord and its aspect on Sukr in 11th from 4th Bhava will tend to deplete revenues from properties. Argala of Mangal on 4th Bhava brings back properties under the control of native, i.e. tenants leave. Native was warned that during Sravana (July - August 1997) in Dasa Antara of Sukr - Mangal in his 52nd year (of life) disaster would strike and some of tenants will have death like suffering and may leave the factories.
Unfortunately, this happened as one tenant left, 2 suffered severe financial setbacks and 4th had such a shock that he committed suicide.
4.7
Residence
Chart 47 - male, born on 7th August 1963, at 09:15 pm IST, at Sambalpur, India.
In chart 47, 4th Bhava is Mithuna afflicted by Rahu (exalted) as 4th Lord Budh is Vargottama in 6th Bhava.
This is in aspect to 5th Lord Chandr in 12th Bhava. Lagna Lord is well placed in strength in Lagna but in watery Meena. This clearly indicates residence away from home but within the country. During Dasa of Guru native stayed at home and completed his education up to 10th standard (matriculation). Sani is 12th Lord, dispositor of Chandr, placed in a movable Rasi and in aspect of Sukr. Even in Navamsa and Chaturthamsa, Sani conjoins Sukr. Thus, Sani Dasa indicates change of residences away from home, but within limits (India) set by Guru.
Place of birth
Place of birth is seen from 4th Bhava and with exalted Rahu dominating it shows birth in house of maternal grand-father. Navamsa Lagna is used to indicate general direction of house or delivery room. Watery Rasis show North, fiery Rasis East, airy Rasis West and earthy Rasis South. Since Navamsa Lagna is a watery Rasi, North facing house / room with an East-West road or corridor is indicated.
Chart 47

Narayana Dasa in Chaturthamsa
In Chaturthamsa (D-4), Narayana Dasas begin from Rasi occupied by Lord of 4th Bhava in Rasi (D-1) chart. In chart 47, Meena rises and Lord of 4th Bhava (Mithuna) is Budh.
Budh is placed in Vrischika in Chaturthamsa. Hence Chaturthamsa Narayana Dasas begin from Vrischika.
Periods of these Dasas are obtained by treating Chaturthamsa chart independently and following the same method as outlined for Chara Dasas. Order of Dasas will be obtained by treating 1st Dasa Rasi as Arambha Rasi Dasa up to 1969 family was residing in small town that was the office for his father when in mining area. In 1969 his father left government job to join private sector near Rourkela (Orissa).
This job was for a period of 4 years during Makara Dasa (1969 - 1973). Since Makara houses Surya and its Lord is exalted, very fine company bungalows were provided during this period. With the advent of Simha Dasa, family
moved to Bhubaneswar (Chandr - Bhubaneswari Devi) and native stayed in Bhubaneswar for 7 years coinciding with Simha Dasa (1973 - 1980) during which he completed his 10th standard Board exams. With the advent of Meena Dasa in 1980 and beginning of Sani Dasa (Vimsottari), the stage was set for leaving home for higher studies and true to direction of Rahu (SW) in Meena in D-4 chart native travelled from Bhubaneswar to Bangalore for his pre-college (plus two) studies in science. This period of Meena (1980 - 1983) coincided with pre-college and was followed by Thula (1983 - 1995).
Dasa of a Rasi can be divided into 3 parts each controlled by Rasi, its Lord and Graha in Rasi. This is different from sub-periods which are of 12 Rasis.
Thus period of Thula (1983 - 1995) can be divided into 3 parts. These are controlled by Thula (1983 - 1987), Sukr (1987 - 1991) and Sani (1991 - 1995). During Dasa of a Rasi, direction is seen from it or its 7th Bhava whichever is aspected by Guru, Budh or 4th Lord. Thus, during Thula controlling period (1983 - 1987) in Thula Dasa, direction shall either be given from Mesha or Thula. Mesha is aspected by Budh and native
travelled south (Mangal) to study engineering in Madras (Mesha). The course was for 4 years. Rasi occupied by Dasa Rasi Lord is called Paka Rasi and Rasis aspected by Paka Rasi (Rasi Dristi) are also seen for directions. Thus during Sukr (Paka Rasi - Thula) controlling period (1987 - 1991), direction can be obtained from Paka Rasi Thula or Rasis aspected by Thula, i.e. Simha, Vrishabha or Kumbha. During period 1987 - 1991, native was in Bhubaneswar (Chandr - Simha) for most of the time. During the last phase of Sani in exaltation, native travelled in Northern direction to reside in Delhi (1991 - 1995) in connection with a job, and in present Vrishabha Dasa (1995 - 2000) he continues to reside in Delhi. North-Western direction of movement occurred due to Chandr and certain remedial measures native had undertaken. Parivartan (exchange) Yoga covers Lagna and Hora Lagna Lords as well. Hora Lagna is in 4th Bhava with Chandr
» Chapter VII - 4th Bhava by Chistabo, A.D. 2012 «
Mangal, Surya, Sani and Budh by Rasi Dristi.
In Chaturthamsa (D-4), Budh is in 2nd Bhava as Parivartan Yoga between Sukr and Chandr persists involving 4th and 7th Bhava. This is a powerful combination for properties and luxuries of every kind.
Gajakesari Yoga between Guru and Chandr has also persisted in D-4. Mangal as Lord of Chaturthamsa Lagna is in 5th Bhava causing Argala on 4th Bhava that is obstructed by Rahu placed in 12th from 4th Bhava.
Conjunction of 9th and 4th Lords Chandr and Guru in 7th Bhava show paternal properties that will give fame due to its expanse. 5th Lord Surya (father) in 8th (legacy) with Sani (inheritance) show inheritance of the same.
Strong position of 4th Lord in Chaturthamsa in a Kendra and its involvement in such powerful Yogas with benefics indicates that native will gain a lot from his motherland and will not have to wander to other places in search of a fortune. No doubt that these combination gave him erstwhile kingdom of Mysore.

Education
4th Bhava deals with formal education and school where one is educated. 5th Bhava, being 2nd from it shows knowledge gained (Karaka Guru). 9th Bhava rules higher education. We will be restricting the scope to basic education, informal learning and such other matters.
Chart 49 - male, born on 12th November 1934, at 06:15 pm IST, at 20 N 29, 85 E 52.
Atmakarak: Sani
Matrupada: Dhanur (A4)
Arudha Lg: Meena (AL)
Native of chart 49 was born in a poor Brahmin family of Puri (Orissa) as is evident from placement of Lord of Arudha Lagna in 8th from it and 6th from Lagna.
However, there are a number of interesting Rajyogas in horoscope due to presence of 4 benefics in Thula. These include Parijatha Yoga (Labhesha, Vidyesha, Dhanesha Yoga) or combination of Lord of gain (11th), education (4th) and wealth (2nd). This conjunction of Guru, Surya and Budh has produced a powerful Rajyoga that promises rise in life (Surya attains Neechabhanga or cancellation of debility due to Mangal in a Kendra in 4th Bhava) due to education / learning. Sharada Yoga is also seen with Chandr in Kendras to Budh and placed in 1st decanate of a movable Rasi (in case Chandr was in a fixed or dual Rasi, it should be in 2nd / 3rd Drekkana respectively for the
Sharada Yoga). Sharada is a name for goddess of learning. This is further strengthened by presence of Matrupada in a Kendra from Arudha Lagna. Thus, combinations indicate good education. In spite of birth in a very poor family native stood 2nd in board exams, qualified for scholarship assistance and became an engineer. Indications of Rasi chart should be confirmed in Siddhamsa (D-24).
In Siddhamsa, Chandr is in a fixed Rasi (stability of mind) as its dispositor (called Subhapati) is exalted and aspects Lagna. This shows good mathematical and analytical skills and prepares the ground for a good scholar. Surya, representing illumination, is also in a fixed Rasi as it's dispositor Sukr is exalted in 9th Bhava of higher education with debilitated Budh. Thus, Budh gets Neechabhanga. 9th Lord and Karaka for knowledge Guru is exalted in Lagna forming a Dharmakarmadhipati Yoga (DKY) with Mangal that is excellent for higher education. Viewed from 4th Bhava (Thula), Lord is exalted and its dispositor Guru is also exalted. Debilitated Chandr in 2nd Bhava causes Papargala (malefic intervention) that has Neechabhanga but no obstruction. Thus, during Vimsottari Dasa of Chandr, problems in education occurred and there was a danger of discontinuing studies. However, with the advent of Mangal Dasa, native travelled a short distance to reside at his brother-in-law-s house and completed his education and later in Puri he finished his matriculation with flying colors.
Nodes are well placed in 10th Bhava and are aspected by Mangal involved in DKY. Thus, Rahu Dasa gave results of Yoga and native received scholarship to complete his engineering. During Rahu - Sani he was offered scholarship to pursue his Masters and Doctorate studies in USA by the great philanthropic industrialist Shri G.D. Birla, but due to a tight financial situation at home the same had to be declined and he took up a job. Sani is Lord of 7th & 8th Bhava and a malefic for Karkataka and is placed in 12th Bhava (foreign travel). Sani also aspects 9th Bhava (higher education) and is a Yogakarak reckoned from 4th Bhava Thula. Thus, this travel to a foreign country and higher studies would

have proved to be a boon both for native and the educational institute. However, placement of Sani in 8th from Lagna Lord (self) Chandr (family) led to the end of education.
