1. For movable Lagna lord of the 2nd and 7th are maraka. Lord of 3rd and 7th are the marakas for Fixed Lagna natives. For Dual Lagna, the marakas are the lords of 7th and 11th houses.

2. Planet/s placed in the maraka places are stronger than the lords of the maraka places in inflicting death.

3. Planets conjoined with lords of the maraka houses are stronger than the lords of the maraka places in inflicting death.

2.10. Combinations for Yogas:

The following combinations will give a yoga for Aries Lagna natives: 1. If Sun and Moon conjoins it gives Rajayoga.

3. Sun and Venus are conjoined in Lagna and aspected by Jupiter.

4. Sun is placed in his exaltation sign of Aries (i.e. Lagna) and Moon is placed in his own sign of Caner.

5. Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars – all the four are exalted. Along with Sun, if two out of the other three are exalted then also it will give a yoga. This is found in Brihat Jataka also and is applicable to Cancer, Libra and Capricorn Lagna also.

6. Sun in the 5th in own house, Jupiter in the 9th in own house, Mars in the 10th in exaltation – Rajayoga will result.

7. Rajayoga results if Sun, Mars and Jupiter all are placed in Lagna Kendra. (1st, 5th, 9th lords-trikona lords going to Lagna Kendra).

8. Sun in the 5th in own house, Moon in the 4th in own house and Jupiter exalted will produce Rajayoga.

9. Sun in Lagna in exaltation, Jupiter and Moon in the 9th house and Saturn in the 10th house gives Rajayoga.

10. Mars placed in the 5th house.

11. Exalted Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn produce Rajayoga.

12. Sun exalted in Aries, Moon in own house in Cancer, Mars exalted in Capricorn or placed in own house in Aries or placed in the 5th house.

13. A general rules states that if Moon is placed in the 1st, 6th, 9th or 12th house from the Sun, good yoga will result.

14. Mars, Jupiter, Venus conjoined in Taurus there will be a yoga. If this combination is in the 3rd house, Gemini, there will be no yoga.

15. Mars is debilitated in Cancer and Jupiter is exalted there, Mars dasa will yield beneficial results.

16. If Mars and Venus are placed in the 7th house, the native will have proceeds from his own capacity or will.

17. If in the 11th house Sun, Mercury and Venus are conjoined, their dasas will also be beneficial.

18. If Venus is placed along with Moon in Cancer, there will be yoga.

19. Rahu must be placed in Lagna, 2nd, 4th, 6th or the 10th houses and in kendra to Rahu (i.e. in the 4th or the 7th or the 10th to Rahu).

20. Venus in Lagna, Jupiter in the 7th the native will get yoga through wife.

21. Venus in the 7th or 12th, Moon in the 2nd in exaltation. (Here exalted planets in both sides of Lagna produces the yoga).

22. Kendra houses should not be vacant. If the 1st house lord Mars, 4th house lord Moon, 7th house lord Venus and the 10th house lord Saturn – all these planets must be placed in their own houses or there must be exchange amongst them will produce a Rajayoga.

23. Sun in Lagna along with Saturn, Jupiter and Moon in Capricorn.

24. Jupiter in the 9th in own house and Venus in the 7th in own house, native will get a higher position in politics.
