We welcome adults 18 and over who are in need of receiving their sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) to our parish! The process is called Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). It’s a weekly preparation program that will assist you in your faith formation and prepare you for the sacraments to be received at the Easter Vigil. There are some requirements necessary before entering this program. We will offer two information sessions which will answer all your questions! The sessions will take place Sunday, September 17 after the 10 a.m. Mass (English) and after the 11:30 a.m. Mass (Spanish) in the FAITH FORMATION CENTER For more information, Sr Lucy at 718 424-5400x5.

This past two weekends the young people of our community where able to come together
and experience Gods presence in their lives. The retreat was themed Set a Fire.
The fire was a symbol of Gods presence lighting up their lives for him.

MISSION APPEAL AUGUST 26 AND 27,2017
Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) is the first indigenous religious congregation of India founded by Saint Kuriakos Elias Chavara. There are more than 2000 CMI members serving in 33 countries in the fields of pastoral care, education, social apostolate, health care, mass media, and ecumenism. Currently, almost 100 priests are serving in the USA and much more are serving in Africa, Latin America, Australia and Europe. Fr. Kavungal Davy, CMI, a missionary will be at our parish this weekend August 26/27 to preach at all Masses about their missionary activities. There will be a second collection and your generous financial support and prayers will be highly appreciated.

Las Carmelitas de María Inmaculada (CMI) es la primera congregación religiosa indígena de la India fundada por San Kuriakos Elías Chavara. **PARENT MEETING**
Wednesday, September 6 we will have a mandatory meeting for all parents whose children are registered in our faith formation program. The meetings will take place in the MAIN CHURCH at 6:30pm (English) and 7:30pm (Spanish). This meeting is ONLY for parents who have already registered their children.
**REUNIÓN DE PADRES**
Miércoles 6 de septiembre vamos a tener una reunión obligatoria para todos los padres cuyos hijos están registrados en nuestro programa de formación en la fe. Las reuniones tendrán lugar en la iglesia principal a las 6:30pm (Inglés) y 7:30pm (Español). Esta reunión es sólo para los padres que ya han registrado a sus hijos.
CONFIRMATION DAY
We have recently been informed that Bishop Neil Tiederman will be with us on Saturday, October 21st to confer the sacrament of confirmation on our young people. More than 130 candidates will receive the sacrament at the 1:30 p.m. mass on that day. Please keep our young people and their sponsors in your prayers during this special time of preparation.
