Pensamientos de Sor Silvia
En el evangelio de este cuarto domingo de cuaresma, somos testigos del dialogo entre Jesús y Nicodemo. Te invito a leer y meditar este pasaje desde el inicio. Jn 3 1-21. Nicodemo era un hombre religioso preocupado por conocer las cosas de Dios con dudas de Fe, durante la noche busca a Jesús, desea que le ayude a entender lo que Jesús dijo “nadie puede ver el
Reino de Dios sino nace de nuevo” y le pregunta ¿Como puede ser esto?
Jesús con su respuesta le revela el plan de Salvación, “Así
como Moisés levanto la serpiente en el desierto, así tiene que
ser levantado el Hijo del hombre” habla de su experiencia con el Padre le muestra el gran amor de Dios, el porqué de su venida, de su sacrificio y su Resurrección, pero primero para entender todo esto tienes que nacer de nuevo.
meditemos tres puntos 1. el levantamiento del Hijo del Hombre. la serpiente que mordía a los israelitas causándoles la muerte, será al mismo tiempo signo de salvación, tanto solo mirarla los mordidos por ella quedaran curados. Ver a la serpiente de bronce extendió la vida a los israelitas, ver a Jesús crucificado “levantado” también nosotros mordidos y heridos por el pecado somos curados, tus heridas nos han
curado.
2) El amor de Dios por el mundo “Tanto amo Dios al mundo, que entregó a su Hijo” esto es lo esencial de nuestra vida cristiana. este mundo que Dios ama tanto está siendo seducido por el mal, el dolor, el sufrimiento, la angustia, la
incomprensión, las desigualdades, está contaminado. Pero Su Amor y Misericordia está por encima de todo. Dirijamos la mirada de nuestro corazón a Jesús Crucificado y sintamos dentro de nosotros que: “Dios nos ama con amor gratuito y sin medida” (Papa Francisco).
3) el juicio de condenación para quienes no creen en el Hijo. Dios no pretende condenarnos sino salvarnos. Ese es su propósito desde siempre, el juicio lo ha dejado en nuestras manos, así pues, el juicio cristiano no es un episodio ultimo al que nos presentamos delante de un tribunal para que diga si somos buenos o malos. Experimentamos el juicio en la media que vivimos la vida nueva, a la que hemos sido llamados. El mundo no se hace solo, se hace con cada decisión personal, familiar y comunitaria.
La cuaresma nos hace salir de nuestra oscuridad y que, entre la Luz de Dios, para nacer de nuevo y volver a empezar. Jesús nos amó hasta el extremo, nos da la prueba su inmenso amor cada vez que el padre repite las palabras este es mi
cuerpo que será entregado por vosotros. Él nos ama y nos
perdona; Dios perdona todo y perdona siempre. dejemos que el Señor nos hable, consuele y purifique.
preparémonos para la gran Pascua, sigue el camino cuaresmal. Lleva una vida de oración más profunda, participa
en la Eucaristía, aprovecha los medios a tu alcance, las pláticas cuaresmales, pídele al Señor ser testigo de la luz para

In the Gospel of this fourth Sunday of Lent, we witness the dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus. I invite you to read and meditate on this passage from the beginning. Jn 3 1-21. Nicodemus was a religious man concerned about knowing the things of God with doubts of Faith, during the night he looked for Jesus, he wanted him to help him understand what Jesus said "no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again" and asks him How can this be? Jesus with his answer reveals the plan of Salvation, "Just as Moses lifted the serpent in the desert, so the Son of man must be lifted up." He speaks of his experience with the Father. He shows him the great love
of God, the reason for his coming, his sacrifice and his Resurrection, but first to understand all this you have to be
born again. let us meditate on three points 1. the rising of the Son of Man. The serpent that bit the Israelites, causing them death, will at the same time be a sign of salvation, as long as those bitten by it just look at it, they will be healed. Seeing the bronze serpent extended life to the Israelites, seeing Jesus crucified "lifted up". We too, bitten and wounded by sin, are healed, your wounds have healed us. 2) God's love for the world "God so loved the world that he gave his Son" this is the essential of our Christian life. This world that God loves so
much is being seduced by evil, pain, suffering, anguish, misunderstanding, inequalities, it is contaminated. But his Love
and Mercy is above all. Let us turn the gaze of our hearts to Jesus Crucified and feel within us that: "God loves us with gratuitous love and without measure" (Pope Francis). 3) the judgment of condemnation for those who do not believe in the Son. God does not intend to condemn us but to save us. That has always been his purpose, the trial has left it in our hands, so the Christian trial is not a final episode to which we appear in front of a court to say if we are good or bad. We ex-perience judgment as we live the new life, to which we have been called. The world is not made alone, it is made with each personal, family and community decision. Lent makes us come out of our darkness and into the Light of God, to be born again and start over. Jesus loved us to the extreme, his immense love proves us every time the father repeats the words this is my body that will be given for you. He loves us and forgives us; God forgives everything and always forgives. let the Lord speak to us, comfort and purify us. Let's get ready for the great
Easter, follow the Lenten path. Lead a deeper prayer life, participate in the Eucharist, take advantage of the means at
your disposal, the Lenten talks, ask the Lord to be a witness of the light so that others may believe. Witness the joy that Jesus brings us.

LA MISERICORDIA DE DIOS
La lectura de hoy del libro de las Crónicas contiene una especie de “breve historia” de Israel, que pone de relieve la
misericordia de Dios en la elección de Ciro el persa para ser
instrumento de liberación cuando el pueblo estaba en cautiverio en Babilonia. A pesar de su pecado y el castigo
merecido al que estaban siendo sometidos, la misericordia de Dios se prodigó en el pueblo en forma de un acto milagroso de liberación.
La Carta a los Efesios, en términos mucho más teológicos, da una versión similar de un Dios “que nos dio la vida con Cristo y en Cristo [y] por pura generosidad suya, hemos sido salvados”. El autor hace hincapié en que era cuando estábamos “muertos por nuestros pecados” que Dios nos salvó, un acto de pura gracia. Hace hincapié en que no es nuestro propio esfuerzo que nos ha liberado del pecado (“esto no se debe a ustedes mismos”); sino que “es un don de Dios”. Esto, por supuesto, es el corazón de todos los escritos paulinos, que la salvación nos llega por la fe en la misericordia de Dios, revelado en la muerte de Jesús. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

0-27, 33b-45] GOD’S MERCYToday’s reading from the second book of Chronicles contains a sort of “mini-history” of Israel. It highlights God’s mercies in choosing Cyrus the Persian to be an instrument of deliverance when the people were in captivity in Babylon. Despite their sinfulness and the deserved punishment they were
undergo-ing, God’s mercy was lavished on the people in the form of a miraculous act of liberation.
The Letter to the Ephesians, in much more theological terms, gives a similar account of a God “who brought us to life with Christ—by grace you have been saved.” The author stresses that it was when we were “dead in our transgressions” that God saved us, an act of pure grace. He emphasizes that it is not our own efforts that freed us from sin (“this is not from you”); rather, “it is the gift of God.” This, of course, is the heart of the entire Pauline corpus, that salvation comes to us by faith in God’s mercy, revealed in the death of Jesus.
