(2) de la información. Subproyecto tecnología de watermarking Resumen. La aparición de nuevos servicios de la Sociedad de la Información tiene lugar a un ritmo cada vez más acelerado. Desde servicios basados en la localización para usuarios o coches en movimiento hasta los RFID, desde la gestión de derechos digitales a los sistemas de detección de intrusos, desde los pagos electrónicos hasta la minería de datos y el data warehousing, una sorprendente plétora de nuevas tecnologías está surgiendo bajo el argumento de incrementar la seguridad y la satisfacción de los consumidores. Aunque es cierto que transacciones más seguras y eficientes redundan en beneficio del consumidor, no lo es menos que con frecuencia los beneficios empresariales son el único impulso de estas nuevas tecnologías. No es pues sorprendente que la seguridad de las transacciones esté sesgada hacia la seguridad empresarial en detrimento de la seguridad del consumidor. Peor aún, la privacidad de las transacciones, que es básicamente un requisito del consumidor, tiende a tener baja prioridad, si es que llega a considerarse.. La hipótesis de partida de E-AEGIS es que deberían asignarse fondos públicos de investigación para compensar la falta de inversión privada en investigación en tecnologías de privacidad. Ello es una consecuencia clara del compromiso genérico de los gobiernos para con la protección de los derechos humanos de sus ciudadanos, entre los cuales está el derecho a la intimidad y a la privacidad.. El objetivo principal de E-AEGIS es demostrar que la seguridad de las transacciones en la sociedad de la información es compatible con la privacidad de los consumidores. Específicamente, esto se demostrará para tres escenarios: servicios móviles (subproyecto E-AEGIS/M-PRIVACY), gestión de contenidos digitales (subproyecto E-AEGIS/STEGOPRIVACY), y minería de datos preservando la privacidad (subproyecto E-AEGIS/DBPRIVACY).. El subproyecto E-AEGIS/STEGOPRIVACY desarrollará nuevos esteganográficos (marca de agua) para monitorización de transmisiones radiotelevisivas y detección de copia. En los casos de métodos de rastreo de redistribuidores ilegales, se añadirán funcionalidades de privacidad: el anonimato solamente debe revocarse para redistribuidores deshonestos, mientras que los consumidores honestos de contenidos digitales deberían poder conservar su anonimato (de modo parecido a como se conserva en los pagos anónimos).. With this purpose, the learning experience of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (in terms of virtual campus, educational materials and methodology) will be transferred and adapted at the European level with particular emphasis on the lifelong learning of IT professionals, educators and decision makers. The FTA project will provide five main results: 1) a virtual campus run at the EU level; 2) a set of distance learning modules on FS and OS published as Open Educational Resources; 3) definition of competences, Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and recognition of certifications by the FTA partners; 4) a pilot programme to evaluate and adjust the FTA programme and campus; and 5) a network of HE institutions, vocational education and training organisations, companies and civil society organisations to encourage cooperation and connect to real market needs. Los objetivos del proyecto son:. Education. and. Culture\;. European. 1) Estudiar y definir Ontologías para el gobierno de los Servicios de Confianza que establecerán las Políticas de Seguridad del sistema global (Semantic Trust). Se considera fundamental disponer de lenguajes y reglas semánticas que faciliten el entendimiento e interoperabilidad de todos los componentes del entorno, sobre todo, si este es altamente dinámico. En este objetivo, se pondrá especial atención a las Memòria – Memoria – Report/2007 5.

(6) tecnologías de PKI, Identificación electrónica y Firma electrónica como base fundamental de desarrollo de la confianza en la nueva Sociedad-e. 2) Estudiar y definir Ontologías para la Seguridad y Confianza Ambiental (Ambient Trust), entendida ésta como Información de entorno y contextual de todos los componentes y entidades que participan de la nueva Sociedad-e. Este tipo de información es por naturaleza extremadamente dinámica ya que depende del lugar, momento, dispositivo, aplicación, acción, red, etc. en el que esté ocurriendo la transacción en curso. Desde el punto de vista de Seguridad y Confianza, se definirá la información ambiental clave para que los Servicios de Confianza (objetivo 1 anterior) puedan tomar siempre las mejores decisiones de Seguridad (autenticación, autorización, integridad, confidencialidad y no-repudio). 3) Estudiar y avanzar en las Redes Ad Hoc seguras como i) catalizador de una nueva Sociedad-e más dinámica y segura en cuanto a las comunicaciones, y ii) como infraestructura básica de Red ideal para la interconexión de sensores que capten la información de entorno y contextual, en particular, toda aquella que pueda influir en una decisión de seguridad. Los aspectos más importantes que se analizarán son los de auto-configuración, los mecanismos de colaboración y privacidad de la Red Ad Hoc, 4) Estudiar y proponer una Arquitectura así como Casos de Aplicación y Uso que puedan llevar a la práctica una nueva Sociedad-e más dinámica, segura y de confianza. Se quiere proponer una arquitectura en la que aparezcan los modelos de Interconexión, Seguridad, Servicios, Usuarios, Integración y Gestión. En cuanto a los casos de aplicación y uso, se quieren proponer casos genéricos en la e-Administración, e-Goverment, e-Banking, etc. así como casos más particulares y concretos como el uso del DNI-e, la PDA y/o teléfono móvil como sensores de información de confianza. 5) Llevar a cabo Desarrollos de Prototipos así como Demostradores que muestren los estudios y conceptos realizados. De especial interés del uso de estas tecnologías es llegar a demostradores que corroboren i) la viabilidad de la futura Sociedad-e, tan dinámica y compleja como la propuesta en este proyecto, pero a la vez tan sencilla e intuitiva para el usuario, así como ii) avances claros en la seguridad y confianza de los procesos electrónicos actuales en el entorno corporativo (enterprise). Desarrollo de tecnologías multilingües a gran escala para la comprensión del lenguaje: Análisis Sintáctico Automático. Resumen. Este proyecto pretende agregar significando, conocimiento y razonamiento a las actuales tecnologías de comunicación. Específicamente, KNOW proporcionará novedosas capacidades de razonamiento e interpretación del lenguaje natural a las Sistemas de Información multilingües actuales. En un paso significativo hacia la completa Comprensión del Lenguaje Natural (NLU), KNOW mejorará las interfaces actuales mediante el incremento en profundidad y anchura del conocimiento lingüístico presente en los recursos multilingües existentes, e ideando tecnologías de Procesamiento del Lenguaje Natural (NLP) basadas en conceptos que utilizaran esos recursos para el razonamiento y la inferencia avanzados.. Self-* Grid: Dynamic Virtual Organizations for schools, families, and all. Resumen. Grid4All aims to enable domestic users, non-profit organisations such as schools, and small enterprises, to share their resources and to access massive Grid resources when needed, envisioning a future in which access to resources is democratised, readily available, cooperative, and inexpensive. Examples include home users of an image editing application, school projects like volcanic eruption simulations, or small businesses doing data mining. Cooperation examples include joint homework between pupils, and international collaboration such as the edition of a multilingual newsletter between schools from different countries. Grid4All goals entail a system pooling large amounts of cheap resources (connecting to commercial cluster providers when needed); a dynamic system satisfying spikes of demand; using elfmanagement techniques to scale and adapt to changes in environment; supporting isolated, secure, dynamic, geographically distributed user groups and using secure peer-to-peer techniques to federate large numbers of small-scale resources into large-scale Grids. We target small communities such as domestic users, schools and SMEs, thus combining for-profit or non-profit users and providers, harnessing their resources added to those of operated IT centres, to form on-demand service oriented Grids, avoiding preconfigured infrastructures. (17) The technical issues addressed are aspects of security, support for multiple administrative and management authorities, self-management by combining the strong points of structured overlay P2P networks and that of component models, on-demand resource allocation, heterogeneity, and fault tolerance. Descripción de la actividad de investigación. Proyectos Título. Llengua, identitat i polítiques turístiques a Catalunya i a Gal·les. Resumen. L'objectiu d'aquest projecte és estudiar les relacions entre polítiques turístiques i processos de construcció identitaris, amb especial atenció a les qüestions lingüístiques, i dins els contextos català, i gal¿lès. La nostra intenció és investigar aquesta qüestió mitjançant un conjunt d¿entrevistes a persones clau associades amb les polítiques turístiques d¿aquests contextos. Complementarem això amb una enquesta sobre recursos turístics lligats a la llengua i la identitat a Catalunya. Analitzarem aquests materials en termes de noves formacions discursives que revelen les estratègies de diversos grups socials enfront de les transformacions socials i econòmiques del món contemporani. El turisme, especialment el turisme cultural, és una activitat interessant perquè hi conflueixen consideracions de tipus social, cultural i econòmic. Durant els darrers 15 anys hom detecta una confluència entre polítiques turístiques i moviments de reivindicació de comunitats lingüístiques minoritzades. Ens interessa especialment estudiar aquest tema com un dels fenòmens lligats a la mundialització, a l¿emergència de la societat de la informació a les transformacions socials i econòmiques..
