‘La Gomera’ es una isla muy pequeña situada al noreste de Tenerife. Hay siete islas canarias en total. La Gomera es la más verde, sobre todo en el norte de la isla donde llueve mucho. Es una isla muy tranquila con turistas españoles y alemanes. Se puede dar la vuelta a la isla en coche en un día pero las carreteras son muy estrechas y la isla es muy montañosa. Esta isla tiene de todo: un buen clima, playas preciosas, comida típica y una gran variedad de hoteles y apartamentos. Tiene una cultura muy interesante y los gomeros* son muy amables. En el norte de la isla hay un parque nacional que se llama ‘Garajonay’. Para ir a La Gomera tarda dos horas en ferry desde el sur de Tenerife.

Me llamo Sofía. Te voy a hablar un poco de mi familia. Somos cinco: mi madre, mi padre, mi hermana mayor, mi hermano gemelo y yo. Vivimos en las afueras de Madrid en un piso en la sexta planta de un edificio bastante antiguo. Tengo dieciséis años y mi hermana tiene veintidós años.

Antonio Banderas es uno de los actores españoles más famosos de esta época. Fue la película
‘Zorro’ la que le hizo famoso. Desde entonces, ha llegado a ser uno de los más conocidos en el cine internacional. Su padre fue policía en la Guardia Civil y su madre fue maestra. Desde pequeño Antonio quería ser futbolista profesional y tuvo mucho éxito jugando para su equipo del colegio hasta que se rompió el pie a los catorce años. En esa época empezó a interesarse en actuar e hizo su primera pieza de teatro en un teatro pequeño en Málaga. En 1981 se fue a vivir en Madrid para continuar su carrera como actor, pero trabajaba como camarero y modelo a tiempo parcial para ganarse la vida.
Fuera de su trabajo, Antonio es aficionado al fútbol y es hincha del equipo ‘Real Madrid’.
Tiene dos casas – una en Los Estados Unidos y otra en el sur de España. Ha ganado varios premios y nominaciones y en 1996, en una revista, le votaron uno de los cincuenta más guapos del mundo.
Aparte de ser actor, Antonio es dueño de un *viñedo en el norte de España que se especializa en vinos tintos y rosados. En el futuro quiere abrir un hotel en el mismo sitio para promover la producción del vino español.
