PAGE 1 THIRTY-FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME November 23, 2008

From the Director…

My Brothers and Sisters,

Today is a day of Thanks to the Lord; a day of Thanksgiving. This evening we will give thanks to the Lord for all His blessings that He has bestowed upon us. We will meet in

the main sanctuary from 4 to 5 and give thanks to Him. Then, after thanking Him, we will bless all the food, fel-lowship, and enjoy the meal He is giving to us.

Let us look at some scriptures of Thanks.

Eph. 5:19-20, “addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and playing to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks always and for every-thing in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Fa-ther.”

Psalms 105:1-2, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name, make known among the nations what he has done. Sing praise to him, tell of all his wonderful acts.”

2 Cor. 9:15, “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.”

1 Thess. 3:9, “How can we thank God enough for you, in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you.”

Col. 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Phil. 1:3-4, “I thank God every time I remember you, in all my prayers for all of you. I always pray with Joy.” Psalm 30:12, “That my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks for ever.” God has given us everything we have, but our sins and He went to the cross for them.

How can one not give thanks to the Lord? Have you given Thanks for all the blessing you have received this year. How about your family? Work? People you love. Your health. Your finances. Your home. Etc There are many things.

I just want to Thank God for You!!! I thank you for blessing me and all my brothers of the Companions of the Cross. I thank you for how you serve and bless the Cen-ter with all you do here. Praise God who gives us every-thing.. Amen… Amen

In Christ+ Fr. Michael

Y, a veces, hacemos trampas y leemos
