Stations of the Cross
This year we will have the Stations of the Cross in both English and in Spanish. Beginning Thursday after Ash Wednesday and every Thursday during the Lenten Season we will have the Stations of the Cross in Spanish immediately after the daily Mass (around 7:15 p.m.) in the main church. Beginning the Friday after Ash Wednesday and every Friday during the Lenten Season we will have the Stations of the Cross in English immediately after the dai- ly Mass (around 7:15 p.m.). In addition the Daily Mass for both days (Thursday and Friday) will be celebrated in the main church during the Lenten Season only.
I am requesting any of our parish ministries and organizations who would like to help facilitate the Stations of the Cross on either day to contact the parish office and to sign up.
Estaciones de la Cruz
Como el año pasado, tendremos las estaciones de la cruz en inglés y en español. Comenzando el jueves después de Miércoles de Ceni- za y cada jueves durante Cuaresma tendremos las Estaciones de la Cruz en español inmediatamente después de la misa diaria (alrededor de 7:15 pm) en la iglesia a principal. Comenzando el viernes después de Miércoles de Ceniza y cada viernes durante Cuaresma tendremos Estaciones de la Cruz inmediatamente después de la misa diaria (alrededor de 7:15 pm) en la iglesia a principal. PARISH PENANCE SERVICE:
We will have our annual Lenten Penance Service on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the main church. We will have several priest present to assist with confes- sions. I encourage everyone to please take this opportunity as a way of preparing our hearts, souls and minds for the Passion of Our Lord. Please note; there will be NO CONFESSIONS on Thursday, April 13th or Satur- day, April 15th during Holy Week.

Supervision of Children
As a reminder, please be sure not to leave children unattended at all times. I’m asking AGAIN and STRONGLY encouraging everyone not to leave your children unattended without having an adult super- vising them. The adult (if not the parent) also must have completed the diocesan process and has been certified in Ethics and integri- ty. Leaving children unattended is a serious violation of diocesan policy as well as state law. I do take this seriously; the protection of our children, the youth and any vulnerable adult is my primary con- cern and responsibility. We must ALL do our part to care and pro- tect our children and anyone who may be considered vulnerable from anyone who may have the intention to bring them any harm. Marian Pilgrimage to Portugal/Spain/France In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Appari- tions of Our Lady of Fatima, I will be hosting a pilgrim- age to various Marian Shrines. We will visit the shrines of Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of Montserrat just to mention a few. The dates of travel are November 6th – 17th, 2017. Street Closure
Many of you have noticed that the street access to and from Juanita Street has been closed. During the process of sealing the parking lot, the company informed us due to the high volume of traffic co- ming through the parish property has caused a lot of wear and tare to the asphalt and will require regular maintenance to maintain. In addition there has been an increase in traffic coming through the parish property who utilize it as a “short cut” to go to and from Ol- torf. This has also caused a safety issue due to the play scape where children are playing as well as for the Students of San Juan Diego High School. Most of the traffic that comes through the property throughout the day is usually from the neighborhood around the church. In addition the church property is considered “Private Pro- perty” it is not for public use. Therefore, for safety reasons and to preserve our parking lot, I decided to close off access to and from Juanita Street (except for Sunday during the Masses and Religious Education). I know this may be an inconvenience for some, however the safety of everyone who is on the parish grounds is of high priority and we must take the necessary precautions. As a frien- dly reminder, please be sure not to park any vehicles in the Fire La- ne Zone. Vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense. Please res- pect the Handicap Parking spaces; Vehicles without a State Appro- ved permit will be towed away at the owner’s expense. I thank you for your help, consideration and understanding.

Muchos de ustedes han notado que se ha cerrado el acceso calle Juanita. Infertility & Miscarriage Support: Sarah's Hope & Abraham's Promise is a spiritual support program for couples struggling with infertility and miscarriage. Based on Catholic teaching, we combine the wisdom of modern medicine with the healing power of the Catho- lic Church. We offer a women's Bible study support group, couples healing retreats and prayer services throughout the year.
Adoption Support: Destined: Families Built by Love is a spiritual support program and monthly playgroup for adoptive families. Any- one who has built their family through the miracle of adoption is in- vited to meet with other families to share the joys and challenges of adoption and fostering. The playgroup meets once a month in differ- ent areas of Austin.
