RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES
Classes will be canceled for the Thanksgiving holiday. They will resume the following Saturday.
ST. ANTHONY CHOIR
There will be no choir rehearsals for the children this week for the Thanksgiving break. Rehearsals will resume next week.
HEALING MASS
On Monday, November 19th at 7:30 p.m., we will have a special Healing Mass in Honor of Our Lady of Providen-cia in Spanish. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
MASS & LUNCHEON FOR PARISH VOLUNTEERS
On Saturday, December 8 - the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, we will have a special Mass and luncheon for parish volunteers and for families enrolled in our religious education program. Please call the rectory to RSVP for the luncheon by Friday, November 30. Parents of our religious education students are invited to volunteer to help with set up, clean up, serving food, or by bringing a dessert to share.
2019 MASS BOOK NOW OPEN
The 2019 Mass Book is now open for your intentions. If you have a specific date, please do not wait as the inten-tions fill up quickly. All inteninten-tions must be accompanied by the $15.00 stipend and must be made either in person or by letter. Please note that we now will be accepting more than one intention per Mass on weekends only. No intentions will be taken over the phone.

FREE WEDDING SPONSORED BY ST. ANTHONY
We are going to offer one Free Wedding on one specific date to be determined for couples wishing to get married and lacking the resources. This includes the church ceremony as well as reception in our gymnasium. Please speak to Fr. Anderson or call the rectory for more information.
PARISH REGISTRATION
St. Anthony’s Church welcomes all newcomers! We encourage every parishioner to register and use your weekly envelopes. This helps us know how many active parishioners we have as well as facilitating letters request-ed by you. We can not attest to you attending Mass if you are not registered and we do not know who you are. Please ask the ushers for a registration card, complete it and drop it in the collection basket or stop by the rectory during regular business hours. Thank you.
ENCOURAGEMENT
This Sunday’s Gospel is our final selection from Mark for this liturgical year. It is taken from the end of Jesus’ teaching in Jerusalem immediately preceding the account of his arrest and passion. In it Jesus gives his disciples hope to sustain them through his passion and death and any per-secution or suffering that they would encounter after his resurrection.
The words from the book of Daniel also provided hope and encouragement to the people of Daniel’s time. The en-couragement in these scriptures is meant for us as well, for none of us will escape tribulation in our lives. Followers of Jesus will be able to endure suffering with joyful hope, knowing that Christ’s love will lead us along the way of discipleship and give us eternal life with God. Copyright © J. S. SICK AND ELDERLY PARISHIONERS
There are many sick and elderly parishioners in our community who could benefit from a visit from the church. Help us to better identify these people by filling out the form below and we will make a special effort this Fall to bring them the sacraments.

ALIENTO
El Evangelio de este domingo es nuestra selección final de Marcos para este año litúrgico. Pertenece a las últimas enseñanzas de Jesús en Jerusalén y se encuentra inmediatamente antes del relato de su arresto y pasión. En este, Jesús da a sus discípulos esperanza para sostenerlos en su pasión y muerte y en cualquier persecución o sufrimiento que enfrenten después de su resurrección.
Las palabras del libro de Daniel también les brindan esperanza y aliento a los contemporáneos de Daniel. El aliento de estas lecturas también nos sirve a nosotros, ya que ninguno de nosotros puede evitar transitar tiempos difíciles en su vida. Los seguidores de Jesús podrán soportar el sufrimiento con esperanza porque saben que el amor de Cristo nos guiará para poder ser buenos discípulos y nos dará la vida eterna junto a Dios.
