PRAYER AND SERVICE
How do we bring balance and joy to our lives of prayer and service to our loving God?
In the Gospel today, Jesus tells Martha that her concern about doing the right thing as dictated by Jewish tradition might not be the best use of her energies. Her sister, Mary, who sits in rapt attention at Jesus’ feet, should not be rebuked. Is Jesus trying to show Martha that she needs to make time for her spiritual nourishment?
Abraham and Sarah in the first reading seem to be just like Martha. And yet Abraham’s eager welcome and joyful serving of his “visitors” seems almost spiritual. How like Paul, in the second reading, rejoicing in his service to the gospel!
We hear in the psalm that those who do justice will live in the Lord’s presence. Prayer and service—what greater joy could there be?

¿Cómo podemos dar alegría y balance a nuestras vidas de ora- ción y servicio a nuestro Dios amoroso?
En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús le dice a Marta que su preocupa- ción por hacer lo correcto, como lo ordena la tradición judía, podría no ser el mejor uso de sus energías. Su hermana María, que atraída se sienta a los pies de Jesús, no debe ser reprendida.
¿Está Jesús tratando de mostrar a Marta que debe dedicar más tiempo a su alimentación espiritual?
En la primera lectura, Abraham y Sara parecen ser como Mar- ta. Y, sin embargo, la bienvenida entusiasta y atención alegre de Abraham a sus “visitantes” parecen casi espiritual. En la segunda lectura, Pablo se regocija en su servicio al Evangelio.
Escuchamos en el salmo que los que hacen justicia vivirán en la presencia del Señor. La oración y el servicio, ¿qué mayor alegría puede haber?

CSA 2022
The 2022 Catholic Stewardship Appeal, JOURNEYING TOGETHER – THE DIOCESE IN MISSION,
helps us to be good stewards in many Dioc- esan apostolates while at the same time helping to support our parish. Please take time this week to complete the CSA Pledge
Form indicating your pledge amount and down payment. You can place the form in the offertory collection, drop it off at the parish office or send it in by mail. This year’s CSA rebate will allow us to complete Phase 1 improvements and begin Phase 2 improvements: repairs to walkways around the church. These projects will help maintain the area while beautifying and pre- serving your Saint Anne parish community.

Sacrament Information MARRIAGE
Please do not set a wedding date before you talk to a priest. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment with a priest to schedule your wedding. Couples must begin their preparation for the sacrament 6 months to 1 year in advance of their wedding date. Couples must at- tend the marriage preparation classes.
ANNOINTING OF THE SICK
You may call the Parish Office to make an appointment to see a priest for confession, communion and anointing of the sick. We encourage our parishioners to have their spiritual needs taken care of before they go to the hospi- tal. In case of hospitalization, please inform the admis- sions office at the hospital that you are Catholic, or let your nurse know you would like a priest. The hospital will then inform the priest on duty.
Funerals
Please contact the funeral director first. We will work with them to coordinate the service.
Assistance with music available upon request.
REQUIREMENTS FOR BAPTISM
Parents and Godparents need to attend the Pre-Baptismal Class.
We have English classes every 3rd Saturday of the month in the school gymnasium. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
and the class promptly at 11:00 a.m. Once the class has be- gun, no one will be permitted inside. (Please do not bring children). THERE WILL BE NO PRE-BAPTISMAL CLASS IN THE MONTH OF JULY.
After you complete the class, you can schedule the baptism at the Church office Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. &
1:00 p.m..-4:00 p.m.
The requirements are:
Proof of class for parents and godparents
The class is valid for one year; keep your pre-Baptismal certifi- cate safe. If the Godparents are married, they need to be mar- ried through the Catholic Church. Single Godparents need the Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Communion and Confirmation.
Proof of Sacraments is required. Godparents must be over the age of 16 years and have completed their Sacraments of Baptism, 1st Communion and Confirmation. Only two Godpar- ents are allowed on the Baptismal Certificate and at the time of the Baptism. The child needs to have a Godfather and God- mother if the parent is single; if the parents are married, the child can have one Godfather or one Godmother. If both par- ents’ names appears on the Birth Certificate, both parents’ per- mission is required to baptized the child. If one of the parents is not present, in the child’s life, a notarized letter or full custody documents are required to baptize the child.
The donation is $75.00 We have baptisms every Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in English and 9:30 a.m. in Spanish. Please be on time to the Baptism.

La clase es válida por un año, guarde su certificado de las pláticas pre-Bautismales en un lugar seguro. Si los Padrinos son casados, deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica. Si son solteros, tienen que haber recibido el Sacramento del Bautismo, 1ra Comunión y Confirmación. Se requiere comprobante de los Sacramentos.
Los padrinos tienen que ser mayores de 16 años y ya haber hecho los Sacramentos del Bautismo, 1ra Comunión y Confirmación.
Solo se permiten dos Padrinos en la acta de Bautizo y a la hora del Bautizo. El niño (a) necesita tener un padrino y una madrina si la madre o padre vive soltera; si los padres son casados, el niño (a) puede tener un padrino o una madrina. Si los nombres de los dos padres aparecen en el acta de Nacimiento, se necesita el permiso de los dos padres para bautizar. Si uno de los padres no esta pre- sente en la vida del niño, se requiere una carta notariada o docu- mentos de custodia total para poder Bautizar.
La donación es de $75.00
Los Bautizos son todos los Sábados a las 8:30 a.m. en Ingles y 9:30 a.m. en Español. Llegar a tiempo el día del Bautizo.

Quinceañeras
Por favor de ir a la oficina parroquial para progra- mar la Misa/Liturgia de Quince Años, con 3 a 6 me- ses de anticipación a la fecha deseada. La joven tie- ne que tener Bautizo y Primera Comunión para soli- citar la misa/liturgia. La misa/liturgia son los Vier- nes por las tardes o los Sábado en el día, según la disponibilidad de la Iglesia. Favor de no fijar fecha para la Quinceañera antes de hablar con la oficina parroquial.

Parish Registration:
Many people attend mass at our parish, but aren’t regis- tered members. It’s very important to be registered and for you to use your donation envelopes for at least three months in order to request a letter or a signature whether it’s for being a Godparent, sponsor, marriage, confirma- tion, tax statement or any other purpose. This is how we can see that you attend mass at our parish. If you would like to register, please do so by completing the registra- tion form below and returning it either by mail, placing it in the collection basket or dropping it off at the parish office.
Inscripción Parroquial:
Muchas personas en nuestra parroquia asisten a misa pero no son miembros registrados. Es muy importante estar re- gistrado y usar sus sobres de colecta durante al menos tres meses para poder solicitar una carta, o una firma, ya sea para ser padrino, un matrimonio, una confirmación, una declaración de impuestos o cualquier otro propósito. Así es como podemos ver que asiste a misa en nuestra parroquia.
Si desea inscribirse, hágalo completando el formulario de registro de abajo y envíelo por correo, colocándolo en la canasta de la colecta o dejándolo en la oficina de la parro- quia.

All are welcomed to pray a Rosary for Life, every Tues- day after the 7:30 a.m. Mass, in the St. Michael Chapel, located inside the parish office.
