NOVEMBER 21 ~ SOLEMNITY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, KING OF THE UNIVERSE
Pilate said to Jesus, "Are you the King of the Jews?" On this last Sunday of the liturgical year, a question worth asking ourselves today is, “Is Jesus my King?” Is Jesus the center of my life? What can I do to remain close to Jesus with him at the center of all that I am and all that I do? These practices will keep you centered on Christ: Take time every day for prayer. Make it a practice to go to regular confession. Receive Christ, the Bread of Life, in Holy Communion at every Mass. Reach out to others through some charitable action. Begin this new year with more than resolve, begin it by taking these action steps!

Recibe a Cristo, el Pan de Vida, en la Sagrada Comunión en cada Misa. Acércate a otros a través de alguna acción caritativa. Comience este nuevo año con más que determinación,

Dear brothers and sisters,
We are already halfway through November and the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe is approach- ing. Our Lady is the Patroness of the Americas, the mother of all of us. To prepare well we will have a Novena, nine days of prayer and meditation to ask God for special prayer requests or petitions. We are preparing beautiful talks about Mary, the Rosary, the Tilma and much more, starting on December 3rd! At the end of each novena we would like to have a little sharing. Could you help us with some hot chocolate and pastry?
Also, for the Feast of Guadalupe, on December 12, we are planning a beautiful party after the Mass at 6pm. The Cardinal is scheduled to come and cele- brate with us!
Do you think you can commit to bring something?
Anything helps: tacos, tamales, flautas, sodas… so that we may celebrate together, as a family, our Mother Mary!

Ya estamos a mediados de noviembre y se acerca la celebración de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Nuestra Señora es la Patrona de las Américas, la madre de todos nosotros. Para prepararnos bien, tendremos una Novena, nueve días de oración y meditación para pedirle a Dios una ayuda especial. ¡Estamos preparando hermosas charlas sobre María, el Rosario, la Tilma y mucho más, a partir del 3 de diciembre! Al final de cada día de la nove- na, nos gustaría compartir un poco. ¿Podrías ayudarnos con un poco de chocolate caliente y panes?
Además, para la fiesta de Guadalupe, el 12 de diciembre, estamos planeando una hermosa fiesta después de la misa a las 6pm. Es Señor Cardenal va a venir a celebrar con nosotros!
