Linda Murphy-Lopes took over as Principal of Sacred Heart School at a difficult time. John Cardoza had led our School before his sudden, untimely death. Linda came out of retirement after serving many years in public education. Before I arrived, I was told that Linda was the key to making the school successful. She has certainly demonstrated her value to the families, our faculty and staff. She has inspired trust by her clear vision and good listening skills. I want to express my gratitude for her fine work as principal and as the first PAR, coordinator. Parishioners can be relieved that Linda is not going away from the Parish. She continues to serve as a Lector at Masses and a strong supporter of Sacred Heart School.
Sara Michelena serves as our Interim Principal. She has started strong after nearly six weeks of the school year. She has inspired staff and parents with her leadership skills. We are hopeful that the number of families in our very good parish school continues to increase. Families are beginning to realize that quality education combined with Catholic faith formation is crucial to forming young minds today.

Que el Espíritu Santo, que guio a Jesús, sea mi guía y mi fuerza en este día para que pueda ser testigo de tu amor. Con María, la madre del Señor y de la Iglesia, pido
especialmente por las intenciones del Papa y de nuestros obispos para este mes. Amén

I offer You my prayers, thoughts, words, actions, joys, and sufferings in union with the Heart of Jesus, who continues to offer Himself in the Eucharist for the salvation of the world. May the Holy Spirit, Who guided Jesus, be my guide and my strength today so that I may witness to your love. With Mary, the mother of our Lord and the Church, I pray for all Apostles of Prayer and for the prayer intentions proposed by the Holy Father this month. Amen
Traditional Daily Offering of the Apostleship of Prayer
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the in-tentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month. The Apostles of Prayer offer themselves to God each day for the good of the world, the Church, one another, and the Holy Father’s intentions.
