When we encounter or even ponder God’s magnificence, power, and awesomeness, we easily begin to feel our own smallness and perceived insignificance. After all, who can compete with eternal greatness, seraphim, or the ability to catch great numbers of fish? We unfortunately think that God’s presence somehow overrides us, reduces our importance, and only seeks to judge our inadequacies and doubts.

Things begin to change a bit when we realize that what we may have seen as overwhelming and frightening is really only unconditional, unmerited love. Love has tremendous majesty and power. When we listen to

this power and stop seeing it as threatening or dooming, our fear dissipates and Divine friendship takes root. Remaining close to what we once preferred at a distance, we can journey to places we never thought possible and do things we never thought we could do. Strengthened by Divine friendship and encouraged by

its life-giving power, we can say “here I am, send me!” when God asks, “whom shall I send?”

Sin and fear no longer are of concern to the one who remains close to God in a bond of trust.

Cuando nos encontramos o incluso reflexionamos sobre la magnificencia, el poder y la maravilla de Dios, fácilmente comenzamos a sentir nuestra propia pequeñez e insignificancia percibida. Después de todo,

¿quién puede competir con la grandeza eterna, los serafines o la capacidad de atrapar una gran cantidad de peces? Lamentablemente, pensamos que la presencia de Dios de alguna manera nos anula, reduce nuestra

importancia y solo busca juzgar nuestras deficiencias y dudas. Las cosas comienzan a cambiar un poco cuando nos damos cuenta de que lo que hemos visto como abrumador y aterrador es en realidad solo amor

incondicional e inmerecido. El amor tiene tremenda majestad y poder. Cuando escuchamos este poder y dejamos de verlo como amenazante o fatal, nuestro miedo se disipa y la amistad Divina echa raíces.

Permaneciendo cerca de lo que alguna vez preferimos a distancia, podemos viajar a lugares que nunca creímos posibles y hacer cosas que nunca pensamos que podríamos hacer. Fortalecidos por la amistad divina y alentados por su poder vivificante, podemos decir: "¡aquí estoy, envíame!" cuando Dios pregunta,

"¿a quién enviaré?" El pecado y el miedo ya no preocupan a quien permanece cerca de Dios en un vínculo de confianza.

STATION OF THE CROSS

Also known as the Way of the Cross or Via Crucis, commemorate Jesus's passion and death on the cross. There are 14 stations that each depict a mo- ment on his journey to Calvary, usually through sacred art, prayers, and reflections. The practice began as pious pilgrims traced his path through Jerusalem on the Via Dolorosa. Stations Of the cross

are held on Fridays during lent mornings in English and evenings in Spanish during lent. Coordinators as

well as volunteers are always needed.

El Via Crucis es una devoción centrada en los Misterios Dolorosos de Cristo, que se meditan y contemplan caminando, dete- niéndose en cada estación, del Pretorio al

Calvario, representan los episodios más notables de la Pasión. Cada viernes de Cuaresma nos reunimos en la parroquia

para meditar el Via Crucis.

impresas en el manto de la Virgen de Guadalupe.

Llenos de Alegria te invitamos a unirte con nosotros para rezar el Santo Rosario diario, durante 46 dias,

para honrar a Nuestra Santisima Madre de Guadalupe.

A las 6:00pm en el Santuario.

Algunos dias, se va a razar el Santo Rosario en la iglesia, o en otro lu- gar. Comunicación se presentara en

el boletín.
