1.
PRESENT SIMPLE
The moon rotates around the Earth / La luna rota alrededor de la tierra
Human beings need oxygen to live / Los seres humanos necesitan oxígeno para vivir
I usually call my parents at night / Usualmente llamo a mis padres en la noche She reads a new book every week / Ella lee un nuevo libro cada semana
I live in an old house / Vivo en una casa vieja
My sister works for an international company / Mi hermana trabaja para una compañía internacional
I sometimes read scientific articles / Algunas veces leo artículos científicos
She sometimes reads scientific articles / Algunas veces ella lee artículos científicos
I don’t read scientific articles / Yo no leo artículos científicos She doesn’t read scientific articles / Ella no lee artículos científicos
? Para el interrogativo usamos el auxiliar DO. En tercera persona utilizamos DOES.
Do you read scientific articles? / ¿Lees artículos científicos?
Así respondemos….. (Yes, I do / No, I don’t)
Does she read scientific articles? / ¿Ella lee artículos científicos?
Así respondemos….. (Yes, she does / No, She doesn’t)
Complete con la forma correcta del verbo:
My friend Jackie (1+) ____________ in Austria. She lives with her boyfriend. They work at a big company in Vienna. They (2-) ____________ children yet, but they want to have at least 3 children.Jackie (3-) ____________ much free time, but she takes advantage of the scarce free time she has. She usually (4+) ____________ hiking to the mountains with Philip, her boyfriend, and her friends. Jackie and Philip (5+) ____________ traveling; they try to visit a new country at least twice a year.
(1+) live (2-) have (3-) have (4+) go (5+) love (+affirmative) (-negative)
2.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS (PROGRESSIVE)
El presente continuo (progresivo) Link to extend the learning:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkWCzB8dk2U
“I am watching TV English at the moment” / “Estoy mirando TV en este momento”
✓ “at the moment” (en el momento)
✓ “now” (ahora)
✓ “right now” (en este preciso momento)
“I am meeting my dad tomorrow at 9 pm” / “Me voy a encontrar con mi papá mañana a las 9 pm”
✓ At (más una hora específica): at 7 am.
