Assembly

1. Unpack the twin window fan from the box. NOTE: Be sure to check packaging materials for all parts (such as screws and feet) that are required to assemble your fan.

2. Measure your window size to determine if 1 or 2 extender panels will be needed. This fan will fit windows from 22” wide (using main unit only) and up to 38” wide (using both adjustable extender panels fully extended).

3. Lay the fan gently on floor, take the feet (#7) and carefully snap them into each groove on the bottom of the fan. Secure the feet by inserting and tightening the screws (provided) using a Phillips head screwdriver.

4. If extender panels are needed, have the front of the fan facing you, snap the adjustable extender panels into place in the grooves on the left and right sides of the main unit.

5. Secure the extender panels by inserting and tightening the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Once assembled, the fan must be placed on a firm, level surface. The power cord should be hanging from the groove in the front of the unit under the speed control dial.

NOTE: This fan is designed and recommended for use with a screen in the window.

General information

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed. PLEASE READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE TWIN

WINDOW FAN.

1. This product is intended for indoor household use only and not for commercial or industrial appliances.

2. ALWAYS turn the fan off before removing the plug from the outlet.

3. ALWAYS turn the fan off and unplug it immediately after using and before cleaning. 4. To protect against electrical hazards, do not place the fan in water or other liquids. 5. DO NOT allow the fan to become wet or damp.

6. DO NOT store the fan where it can fall into water or other liquids. 7. Turn the fan off when leaving the fan for an extended period. 8. NEVER submerge the fan in water or any other liquids.

9. Use the fan only for its intended use as described in these operating instructions. 10. DO NOT unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug the fan, grasp the plug, not the cord. 11. DO NOT operate any appliance if its cord or plug is damaged, after the appliance has

malfunctioned, or after it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Always follow the warranty instructions.

12. Avoid contact with moving parts.

13. NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening OR into the area protected by the guards.

14. DO NOT obstruct the airflow.

15. DO NOT operate the fan without the front guard/grill in place.

16. DO NOT operate the fan directly adjacent to curtains, plants, window covers, etc. to avoid accidental entanglement or create a fire hazard.

17. DO NOT use the fan if it has not been fully assembled. Make sure that the screws that hold the feet and main unit together are tightened securely.

18. Keep the cord away from heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put cord under rugs, radiators or stoves.

19. To maintain operating efficiency, user should not operate the fan 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

20. NOTE: This fan employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the fan from the outlet. Replace the fuse and check the fan. If the replacement fuse blows, a short circuit may be present and you should contact customer service for instructions.

21. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.

The warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal

injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.

Polarized plug

NOTE:

 This fan has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

 As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.

 If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.

 If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Electric power

If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your blender may not operate properly. The twin window fan should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

Before First Use

Read all instructions before first use and follow them carefully.

User instructions

1. Measure your window size to determine if 1 or 2 extender panels will be needed.

This fan will fit windows from 22” wide (using main unit only) and up to 38” wide (using both adjustable extender panels fully extended).

2. Once you have assembled the window fan with the necessary extender panels

based on the size of your window, align the window fan horizontally with the speed control dial facing you and the power cord hanging from the front of the fan under the speed control dial. DO NOT PLUG THE FAN IN.

3. Set the window fan into the window opening. Please note that in most cases the

window screen does not have to be removed or left open.

4. If the window fan does not fit snugly in your window pull out the extender

panel(s) until it fits.

5. To keep the fan in place, carefully close the window so that the bottom edge for

the window rests on the flat area on the top of the window fan.

6. Once the window fan is installed securely, check that the speed control dial is set

to OFF (O). Plug the power cord into the nearest outlet.

7. Turn the fan ON/OFF by turning the speed control dial to the desired speed

setting OFF (O), LOW (L), or HIGH (H).

Slider Windows

1. Set the window fan vertically in your window opening with the left side of the fan

(with no extender panel attached to left side) on the bottom of the window. Please note that in most cases the window screen does not have to be removed or left open.

2. If the window fan does not fit snugly in your window pull out the right side

extender panel until it fits.

3. To keep the window fan in place, carefully slide the window closed until it is snug.

4. Once the window fan is installed securely, check that the speed control dial is set

to OFF (O). Plug the power cord into the nearest outlet.

5. Turn the fan ON/OFF by turning the speed control dial to the desired speed

setting OFF (O), LOW (L), or HIGH (H).

Cleaning and Maintenance

CAUTION:

Always be sure that the window fan is switched to OFF (O) and unplugged before cleaning or attempting to store the fan.

1. Before cleaning, turn the window fan off and unplug from the electrical outlet. 2. Wipe off excess dust with a lint free cloth.

3. A vacuum cleaner brush attachment can be used to clean the fan guards. This will help remove lint and dirt from inside the fan. NOTE: A can of compressed air may also be used to help push any excess dirt out of the fan and into the vacuum cleaner.

4. Should the fan housing become soiled, it can be cleaned with a damp cloth using warm (not hot) soapy water and a mild detergent solution. Wipe dry. 5. Do not immerse your fan in water or any other liquids. Do not allow any liquid

to get into the fan or motor.

6. Do not use gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.

Please Note:

Take care not to stain the plastic parts with oil. Avoid using the fan in places where oil is liable to spill on fan. Damage or deterioration can be caused by oil on the housing

Ensamblaje

1. Desempaque el ventilador doble de ventana de la caja. NOTA: Asegúrese de verificar todo el material de embalaje en busca de piezas (como tornillos y patas) requeridas para ensamblar el ventilador.

2. Mida el tamaño de la ventana para determinar si se necesitarán 1 o 2 paneles extensibles. Este ventilador cabe en ventanas de 22" (solo la unidad principal) hasta 38" de ancho (con ambos paneles extensibles y ajustables totalmente desplegados).

3. Apoye el ventilador con cuidado en el piso, tome las patas (7) y colóquelas con cuidado en las ranuras de la parte inferior del ventilador. Fíjelas insertando y ajustando los tornillos (incluidos) con un destornillador Phillips.

1. Este producto está diseñado para uso doméstico en interiores, no para usos comercial o industrial.

2. SIEMPRE apague el ventilador antes de extraer el enchufe del tomacorriente. 3. SIEMPRE apague el ventilador y desconéctelo de inmediato tras su uso y antes de

limpiarlo.

4. Para protegerse contra peligros eléctricos, no sumerja el ventilador en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.

5. NO permita que el ventilador se moje o humedezca.

6. NO guarde el ventilador donde pueda caer al agua u otros líquidos. 7. Apague el ventilador si no va a estar presente por un tiempo prolongado. 8. NUNCA SUMERJA el ventilador en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.

9. Use el ventilador solo para el uso previsto tal como se describe en las instrucciones de uso.

10. NO desconecte tirando del cable de alimentación. Para desenchufar el ventilador, agarre el enchufe, no el cable.

11. NO use ningún aparato si el cable o enchufe está dañado, si está averiado o si se cayó o dañó de alguna forma. Siempre siga las instrucciones de la garantía.

Lea todas las instrucciones antes del primer uso y sígalas atentamente.

Instrucciones para el usuario

1. Mida el tamaño de la ventana para determinar si se necesitarán 1 o 2 paneles extensibles. Este ventilador cabe en ventanas de 22" (solo la unidad principal) hasta 38" de ancho (con ambos paneles extensibles y ajustables totalmente desplegados).

2. Una vez que haya ensamblado el ventilador de ventana con los paneles extensibles necesarios en función del tamaño de la ventana, alinéelo de forma horizontal con la perilla de control de velocidad de su lado y el cable de alimentación colgando por el frente del ventilador por debajo de la perilla. NO CONECTE EL VENTILADOR.

3. Coloque el ventilador de ventana en el marco de esta. Tenga en cuenta que en la mayoría de los casos no necesita quitar la pantalla de la ventana ni dejarla abierta.

4. Si el ventilador de ventana no se ajusta bien a la ventana, jale los paneles extensibles hasta que se ajuste.

5. Para mantener el ventilador fijo, cierre la ventana con cuidado para que el borde inferior de esta se apoye en el área plana de la parte superior del ventilador.

6. Una vez que el ventilador de ventana esté bien instalado, verifique que la perilla de control de velocidad esté en APAGADO (O). Conecte el cable de alimentación en el tomacorriente más cercano.

7. Encienda o apague el ventilador a través de la perilla de control de velocidad y los ajustes disponibles: APAGADO (O), BAJO (L) o ALTO (H).

Ventanas deslizantes

1. Coloque el ventilador de ventana en vertical en la abertura de la ventana con el lado izquierdo del ventilador (sin paneles extensibles fijados en colocados a los costados) en la parte inferior de la ventana. Tenga en cuenta que en la mayoría de los casos no necesita quitar la pantalla de la ventana ni dejarla abierta.

2. Si el ventilador de ventana no se ajusta bien a la ventana, jale el panel extensible del lado derecho hasta que se ajuste.

3. Para mantener el ventilador de ventana en su lugar, deslice la ventana con cuidado hasta que quede ajustado.

4. Una vez que el ventilador de ventana esté bien instalado, verifique que la perilla de control de velocidad esté en APAGADO (O). Conecte el cable de alimentación en el tomacorriente.

5. Encienda o apague el ventilador a través de la perilla de control de velocidad y los ajustes disponibles: APAGADO (O), BAJO (L) o ALTO (H).

PRECAUCIÓN:

Asegúrese siempre de que el ventilador de ventana esté APAGADO (O) y desenchufado antes de limpiarlo o guardarlo.

1. Antes de limpiar, apague y desconecte el ventilador de ventana del tomacorriente.

2. Limpie el polvo con un paño sin pelusa.

3. Puede usarse una aspiradora con un cepillo de limpieza para limpiar los protectores del ventilador. Esto ayudará a quitar la pelusa y la suciedad del interior del ventilador. NOTA: También puede usarse un bote de aire comprimido para ayudar a expulsar la suciedad del ventilador para que el aspirador pueda succionarla.

4. Si necesita limpiar el exterior del ventilador, puede limpiarlo con un paño

húmedo con agua tibia (no caliente) y una solución de detergente suave.

Secar.

5. No sumerja el ventilador en agua u otros líquidos. No permita que se introduzca ningún líquido en el ventilador o en el motor.

6. No utilice gasolina, diluyente o benceno como limpiador.

Atención:

Tenga cuidado de no manchar las piezas de plástico con aceite. Evite usarlo en lugares donde pueda derramarse aceite sobre el ventilador. El aceite puede dañar o deteriorar el exterior del ventilador.
