The Skyward Online Pre-Registration is now available for students that will be returning to ENHS

for the 2016-2017 school year. We encourage you to participate in the pre-registration process in

order to update important contact information, verify standard forms, and update health information

for your child/children. You will need to use your existing Skyward Family Access Account to

complete this process.

Technological support will be available

July 25-28 and August 1-4, 2016, Monday through

in the ENHS library.

Once the pre-registration process has been completed online, you may print the Skyward 'Fast Pass'

Summary Page. You will be asked to present this page during arena registration that will be held on

campus in August 2016.

We would like to make this process run as smoothly as possible. Please adhere to following rules to help us in this effort:

• Students (17 or younger) must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. • Proof of residency, such as a light bill, will be required for ALL students registering. • Copy of student's Immunization records, Social Security Card, Birth certificate and

Parent's State Issued Identification Card will be needed.

• Edinburg C.I.S.D. dress code policy will be enforced during registration.

(A copy of this policy is attached). Students violating dress code policy will not be allowed to register.

• Board policy, $15.00 recovery fee for all confiscated cell phones (Cell phone use is not permitted).

• Lost textbooks must be returned or paid in order to register.

• The first day for students will be Monday, August 22, 2016. • ID card is mandatory for all students.

• Parking permits will be available for $5 for students having a valid License and insurance. As parents, you are strongly encouraged to attend registration with your children so that you may be informed about policy, rules, requirements, etc. It is our sincere hope that we can work together to make this a safe, successful, and productive school year for your children.

Dress Code ENHS Campus Policy

The dress code is based on Edinburg Independent School District policy and reflects the standards and values of the community. The dress code policy exists to improve and maintain safety for all students. The policy is designed to prevent distractions in classroom and help students focus on instruction rather than on fashion.

The purpose of adopting these standards is not to infringe on any individual students right to freedom of expression, but to ensure the maximum safety of everyone and encourage students to dress for success and learning to attend school properly prepared to participate in the educational process. We appreciate and encourage your support.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS

ARE NOT PERMITTED

ON CAMPUS.

They violate ENHS Dress Code:

# 3— District approved walking shorts may be worn by secondary students (grades 6-12)

• Basketball shorts are not permitted.

# 4- See through shirts or blouses, sleeveless shirts and blouses without proper undershirts, vests without proper undershirt or sleeveless undershirts without a proper shirt, or crop tops may not be worn.

• Racer-back or t-back tank tops are not permitted.

# 5- Low cut, shoulder-less, or string tie/halter-type dresses, blouses, or shirts may not be worn.

• Spaghetti strap tops or string strap tank tops are not permitted.

# 5- Length of dresses and skirts must be appropriate for school and not distractive to others. Skorts are not allowed.

• Mini skirts and mini skirts with leggings are not permitted. Dresses or skirt length must be worn to the knee.

# 6- Caps, hats, helmets, or headgear shall not be worn to school unless they are allowed for and approved school activity. Bandannas are not allowed.

• Caps, hats, helmets, or headgear — will be confiscated and returned at end of semester. • Sunglasses are not permitted inside the building and must be put away.

#7-Clothes stamped with drugs, alcohol, tobacco logos or those printed with obscene, vulgar language are prohibited. # 8- Hair must be clean and neatly combed. Style, cut and color must not be extreme to the point of creating a distraction. Boy's hair must not exceed dress-shirt collar length. Hair tails and shaved hair designs are not permitted.

• Hair color must be of NATURAL hair color.

#9-Sideburns must not extend beyond the bottom of the ear lobe. Mustaches must be neatly trimmed.

• Beards /goatees are NOT permitted.

#10-Students are prohibited from wearing any facial or body piercing device. Females may wear earrings only.

#12-Steel toe footwear are not permitted.

#13, #17-Students are not allowed to wear baggy clothing, including clothes tailored to look oversized and long belts.

Pants or trousers must be worn at waist.

• Pants or jeans with shreds or holes are not permitted.

#18-No chains are to be worn with clothing or wallets.

El codigo de vestimenta se basa en la poliza impuesta por el Distrito Escolar Independiente de

Edinburg, y refleja las normas y valores de la comunidad. La pOliza del codigo de vestimenta fue creada para mejorar y mantener la seguridad de todos los estudiantes. Esta poliza fue disenada para evitar distracciones en el aula de clase y ayudar a los estudiantes a concentrarse en la instruction mas no en la moda.

*Los siguientes objetos o prendas de ropa NO estan PERMITIDOS en esta escuela porpue VIOLAN el

Codifto de Vestimenta.

#3 Pantalones cortos de education fisica o deportes, NO SON PERMITIDOS para ambos sexos para el dia regular de escuela.

#4 Camisetas/blusas con espalda en forma de "T", camisetas/playeras ombligueras, tranparentes, sin mangas o chalecos sin blusas oprobiadas debajo de ellas NO SON PERMITIDAS. Las estudiantes femeninas deberan de tener el pecho cubierto todo el tiempo. Camisas, blusas o playeras que expongan el pecho, la cintura o otra parte del cuerpo NO SE PERMITIRAN.

#5 Faldas arriba de Ia rodilla y vestidos o camisas de tirantes NO SON PERMITIDAS.

#6 Las Paliacates (bandanas) NO SON PERMITIDAS. Los lentes o gafaspara el sol No SE PERMITIRAN usarios arriba de la cabeza o cuello. Gorros„cachuchas, viseras, sombreros o cascos de futbol NO pueden usarse adentro de Ia escuela excepto se relacionen con alguna actividad escolar o con permiso del principal.

#7 Cualquier vestimenta, joyeria or playera promoviendo sexo, drogas, tabaco o alcohol o promoviendo vandalismo como botes de pintura o grafiti o que promueva armas de fuego o violencia esto incluye bombas o rnanoplas (brass knuckles) NO SON PERMITIDOS.

#8 El corte de cabello en los estudiantes masculinos NO debe de pasar el borde de Ia camisa y NO se les permitiran tener el pelo largo. El cabello debe de estar limpio y bien peinado. El corte de cabello no debe de ser tan extremo que pueda Hamar la atencion y crear distraction entre los estudiantes. Los disenos resurados, o las colas de cabello o trenzas NO SON PERMITIDAS.

#9 El pelo facial en los estudiantes masculinos que se permite es solamente el bigote. La barba airededor de Ia cara o de bajo de los labios NO SON PERMITIDAS. Las patias se permiten pero no deben de pasar el nivel mas bajo del oido.

#10 Perforaciones faciales, "GAUGES" NO SON PERMITIDOS para ambos sexos.

#12 Botas con punta de acero NO SON PERMITIDAS como zapato escolar.

#13, 17 Los pantalones deberan usarse a la altura de la cintura en los estudiantes de ambos sexos. Pantalones

que cuelguen del tiro o de talla exageradamente grande NO SON PERMITIDOS. Pantalones de mezclilla rotos o

con hoyos NO SON PERMITIDOS. No importa el tamano de la ruptura en el pantalon o si ensena piel o no. No se aceptara que los estudiantes cubran con cinta adhesiva.

#18 Cadenas que cuelguen del pantalon al bolsillo trasero, cinturon, cartera, billetera, etc. NO SON PERMITIDAS.
