Qualifications for godparents are: practicing Catholics, registered in a parish, attending Mass regularly,
baptized, confirmed, Holy Communion and if married, married in the Catholic Church. Godparents should provide their Catholic Church marriage certificate and confirmation certificate.
Godparents who live in another parish require a letter from their pastor recommending them as godparents.

Countdown begins. This year’s Fall Fest is set for Saturday, October 9
th(4 weeks away!).
Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with the various games and booths. There are lots of places to volunteer…..
children’s games, dessert booth, cake walk, white elephant, set up, clean up and much more. CALL OR TEXT your name to Sally at 901-604-2116 and indicate what time are you available.
White Elephant Booth -- is already accepting donations of new and gently used items. - NO CLOTHES --Bring your donations to the office Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or before/after Mass leave your donation on the bench in the Religious education building.
Cakes and Desserts: We need at least 50 cakes for the cake walk and loads of desserts for the dessert booth. A sign-up sheet is in the gathering space to volunteer to bring an
item or two or three. PLEASE we cannot accept any donation that needs to be kept refrigerated.
Basket Raffle: Themed baskets (kitchen, bath, baby, Christmas, etc..) are needed for the Basket Raffle. Gather a group to make a basket –bring the basket or individual items to the parish hall by September 19th. Empty baskets are also needed.
Loteria Prizes: Our loteria booth is in need of new items in the $10-$20 range. These items need to be brought to the church office by Sunday, September 19.
Entertainment: Fernando and Wanda Martinez are looking for acts to fill in the spots throughout the day. Do you sing? Dance? Are you a comedian?
Whatever your talent is call or text Fernando & Wanda 901-568-2886 to secure your spot.
Giving Tree: The giving tree is full of leaves. We ask you stop by and take a leaf or two or
three….. These items will help us with the cost of running the festival. Please take a leaf (leaves), buy the item(s), and bring the item(s) back to the giving tree by Sunday, September 19. It is important to have the items in advance so that we know what still needs to be purchased.
Raffle Tickets: Raffle Tickets are being sold before and after all weekend Masses. We ask everyone to take a couple of books home to sell….winners will be drawn throughout the day of the festival (Oct. 9
th). Prizes: $100, $200, $300, $400, and $500.
Raffle tickets are $2.00 each.
Carnival games, international foods, cake walk, basket raffle,
Fishing rodeo, entertainment, fire and police departments, and much more.
