Dear Friends,
Last week the Eastern Idaho Public Health department (eiph.idaho.gov) issued a response plan to the COVID crisis that I believe will serve us well at JPII. The plan iden"fies four risk categories as well as strategies to help mi"gate the virus levels.
We will use this plan, as well as its me"cs, as a basis to help keep our Community safe. In some cases we will have to be more diligent than the eiph plan, given our vulnerable popula"on, but generally speaking I intend to use this plan as a basis to make decisions. Please read through it and let me know your thoughts. I also want to give you an update on the cameras for video taping. We con"nue to work on
providing be%er communica"on with you via video transmissions. As with most new
things, it will take a bit of adjustments, so please be pa"ent. We will begin with the new system at Holy Rosary and then move to Christ the King. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I want you to know that we are working hard to develop a comprehensive religious educa"on program for children, youth and adults. Yes, things will be different this year. However, we hope that what we can offer
will con"nue to spiritually feed our community. Announcing the
message of Jesus and celebra"ng his life among us is our #1 priority! Stay tuned for the exci"ng new ways we can do that this year!

La semana pasada, el departamento de Salud Pública del Este de Idaho
(eiph.idaho.gov) emi"ó un plan de respuesta a la crisis de COVID que creo que nos servirá en JPII. El plan iden"fica cuatro categorías de riesgo, así como estrategias para ayudar a mi"gar los niveles de virus. Usaremos este plan, así como también
sus medidas, como base para ayudar a mantener segura a nuestra comunidad. En algunos casos, tendremos que ser más diligentes que el plan EIPH, dada nuestra población vulnerable, pero, en términos generales, tengo la intención de u"lizar este plan como base para tomar decisiones. Por favor, léalo y hágame saber sus pensamientos.
También quiero darle una actualización sobre las cámaras para grabar videos. Con"nuamos trabajando para proporcionar una mejor comunicación con usted a través de transmisiones de video. Al igual que con la mayoría de las cosas nuevas, se necesitarán algunos ajustes, así que tenga paciencia. Comenzaremos con el nuevo sistema en Santo Rosario y luego nos trasladaremos a Cristo Rey.
