Achievements of Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Tanta University
Report on the Convoy No. 66 in Damanhour Al-Wahsh Village in Zefta District on Sunday, October 25, 2020
Under patronage of Prof. Emad Etman, Acting President of Tanta University, on the occasion of the National Day of Gharbia governorate, Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Tanta University organized a comprehensive medical and veterinary convoy in Damanhour Al- Wahsh Village in Zefta district on Sunday, October 25, 2020. It was inaugurated by Prof. Sahar Mohey Al-Din Hazaa, Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Sahar Mohammed Al-Haggar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development, in attendance of Mr. Mohammed Abdel Aziz Ghazy, General Manager of Environmental Projects, and Mr.
Maher Hosny Saad, General Manager of Community Service.
The Medical Convoy
Patients who visited the clinics were examined. They were 677 cases. There were 11 doctors who are academic staff at Faculty of Medicine in addition to some academic staff from Faculty of Pharmacy who supervised distribution of medicaments that
costed 35 thousand pounds. Patients got these medicaments for free.
The Veterinary Convoy
In cooperation with Veterinary Medicine Directorate, the University organized a veterinary convoy in the village where medicaments of examined animals were distributed for free.
