FIVE AMERICAN IMPORTERS VISIT RIBERA DEL DUERO IN THE LAST REVERSE MISSION OF DRINK RIBERA, DRINK SPAIN
These professionals will taste close to one hundred wines from sixty-three wineries in the Designation of Origin.
Five American importers will be visiting Ribera del Duero this week as part of the last reverse mission included in the
Drink Ribera, Drink Spain
campaign. The professionals have visited up to tomorrow Thursday five wineries from the Designation of Origin and are deepening their knowledge of Ribera wines, of which they will taste close to one hundred.Additionally, during their stay in the ribereña region they will also see its beautiful oenotourism and will enjoy the region's gastronomical offering.
Participants in the reverse mission at the doors of the headquarters of the Regulatory Council, upon their arrival to the Ribera.

PARTICIPANTS IN THE REVERSE MISSION
• Kevin Stuart (Infinity Imports- Los Angeles): Co-founder and Chairman of this importer with headquarters in California that imports and distributes wines from Europe and Australia throughout the entire State. They are looking for references to include in their portfolio, which is very similar to the philosophy of Ribera del Duero.
• Gene Arzurmendi (Catamarca Imports- Atlanta): Gene is a founding partner of this family-run importer with headquarters in the State of Georgia and a twelve year long career. They distribute in various States and are working to expand the business to a few more during the next six months. Specializing in wines from Argentina, they want to expand their catalogue of Spanish wines and find references from Ribera del Duero to offer to their wide range of demanding clients.
• Joyce Stein (The Henry Wine Group- Los Angeles): Specialists in high quality wine, this group is the leading distributor and importer in California and collaborates with many other top importers in the United States. Specializing in high quality wines it has a very influential client portfolio.
• Michelle Schreck (Atlanta Improvement Company- Atlanta): Vice president of this company founded in 1978, with a distribution license in ten States. Its portfolio includes reference wines from Europe, Australia and Latin America. They want to expand it to brands from Ribera del Duero.

Nathan Farley (The Vine Collective-New York): Head of wine purchasing in Spain of this importer with headquarters in New York that distributes in various States and is planning to expand to other regions of the country.
WINE TASTING
The five professionals taking part in the last mission of the Ribera del Duero Plan USA 2013/2014 have a full agenda that includes actions intended to give them a clear and precise idea of the Designation of Origin, its wines and wineries.
The activities began this Monday in the morning. This morning, in the tasting room of the Regulatory Council in Roa, they participated in a tasting-presentation of the wines of fifteen wineries that are seeking an importer in the United States. The winemakers and oenologists themselves have presented their own wines, so establishing direct contact with those who may be able to introduce them into the American market. On Tuesday in the morning this activity was repeated at the headquarters of the Council, with the presentation of wines from fifteen other wineries. This afternoon, the group visited various Ribera del Duero wineries.

Those wineries that already distribute their wines in the United States will also participate in this reverse mission, as the visitors will enjoy wines from nine more wineries during the meals envisaged for these days, and again this will be in the company of the makers.
In total, these American professionals will get to know the wines of seventy three producers during their stay in Ribera del Duero.
