Ethics Statement and Guide to Good Practice
La redacción de la Revista de Derecho Civil está comprometida con la comunidad científica en garantizar la ética y calidad de los artículos publicados.
Las pautas de ética editorial de la revista se basan en la Guía COPE de Buenas Prácticas para Editores de Publicaciones1, que establece normas y proporciona directrices a fin de mantener un comportamiento ético en todas las fases del proceso de publicación.
Aunque es esencial que todos los que participan en la producción de la revista se adhieran estrictamente al más alto nivel de exigencia ético-profesional, corresponde especialmente al Consejo de Redacción, a los autores y a los revisores asegurar la calidad científica de los textos y evitar las malas prácticas.
Directrices para el Consejo de Redacción
1. Los textos originales que no respeten las normas editoriales pueden ser rechazados por el Consejo de Redacción sin un examen completo. A tal efecto, el Consejo de Redacción realizará una evaluación inicial para confirmar que se trata de una publicación original que no ha sido publicada anteriormente y que el texto no contiene plagio, utilizando para ello distintos softwares disponibles.
2. En caso de plagio o de otra conducta indebida, el Consejo de redacción seguirá las orientaciones de la Guía COPE. El Consejo de redacción se compromete a publicar las correcciones, aclaraciones, retracciones y disculpas cuando sea preciso.

The editors of the journal are committed to the scientific community to ensure ethics and quality of published articles.
The publishing ethic guidelines of the journal are based on the COPE guide of good practices for editors of publications (Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers2, which sets standards and provides guidelines in order to maintain ethical behavior in all phases of the publishing process.
Although it is essential that all participants in producing the journal strictly adhere to the highest level of professional ethical standards, it is the responsibility of the Editorial Board, the authors and the reviewers to ensure the scientific quality of the texts and avoid unethical practices.
Duties of Editorial Board
1. Manuscripts that fall outside of editorial guidelines may be declined by the Editorial Board without full review. To this end, the Editorial Board will carry out an initial evaluation to confirm that it is an original publication that has not been previously published and that the text does not contain plagiarism using different software availables.
2. In case of plagiarism or other misconduct, the Editorial Board will be guided by the COPE guidelines. The Editorial Board will publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.

de la revisión por pares doble ciego hecha por expertos evaluadores.
4. El Consejo de redacción evaluará únicamente el contenido intelectual del manuscrito, sin distinguir raza, sexo, creencia religiosa, nacionalidad, origen étnico o pensamiento político de los autores.
5. El Consejo de redacción no revelará información alguna sobre los manuscritos presentados a nadie que no sea el autor, los revisores, los miembros del Consejo de redacción o el editor, según corresponda.
6. Los miembros del Consejo de Redacción deberán abstenerse en la gestión de originales cuando exista conflicto de intereses: situaciones de parentesco, amistad o enemistad manifiesta, subordinación, colaboración o vinculación contractual con el autor.
Igualmente cuidarán de que no exista ninguna de estas situaciones entre los revisores y el autor.
7. El Consejo de Redacción se compromete a respetar el anonimato de los evaluadores a los que encomienda la revisión del artículo. Los revisores no conocerán la identidad del autor y viceversa.
8. Las normas sobre imparcialidad, confidencialidad y conflicto de intereses se aplican también, según sus competencias, a las demás personas que forman el equipo editorial: a los integrantes del Consejo Científico y del Comité de Lectura, los editores científicos, coordinadores, etc.
Directrices para los autores
1. Los autores deben presentar trabajos originales y propios. Se considera plagio, además de apropiación en todo o en parte de un trabajo ajeno; la atribución de idea ajena sin cita de su autor; no emplear las comillas en una cita literal; parafrasear sin citar la fuente; parafrasear abusivamente aun citando la fuente; no informar correctamente sobre la verdadera fuente. Junto al plagio, constituye fraude científico la fabricación, falsificación u omisión de datos, la publicación reiterada o redundante y los conflictos de autoría.
2. Los autores no deben publicar en más de una revista un artículo que contiene esencialmente los mismos resultados. Los trabajos publicados previamente en la web de la entidad editora de la revista no constituyen publicación múltiple ni

4. The Editorial Board must evaluate manuscripts only for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, religious sexual orientation, citizenship, ethnicity or political philosophy of the authors.
5. The Editorial Board must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
6. The members of the of the Editorial Board shall refrain in the management of manuscripts when there is conflict of interest: situations of kinship, friendship or enmity manifest, subordination, collaboration or contractual link with the author. They shall also ensure that there is none of these situations between the reviewers and the author.
7. The Editorial Board keeps the identity of reviewers of an article hidden from the author/s of the paper, and from any other external instance. The evaluators do not know the identity of the author and vice versa.
8. The rules on impartiality, confidentiality and conflict of interest apply also, according to their competencies, to other people who make up the editorial team: the members of the Scientific Council and the Reading Committee, and scientific editors, coordinators, etc.
Duties of Authors
1. Authors must submit original and own works. It is considered plagiarism, as well as appropriation in whole or part of a foreign work; the attribution of idea of others without an appointment of its author; do not use quotation marks in a literal quotation; paraphrase without citing the source; paraphrase abusively even quoting the source; not informed correctly about the true source. redundante.
3. Los autores no deben presentar un manuscrito que está bajo consideración o ha sido aceptado para su publicación en otro lugar.
4. Los autores deben reconocer todas las fuentes empleadas en la investigación y citar las publicaciones que hayan tenido influencia en el trabajo de investigación. En caso de ser necesario, deben obtener permiso para reproducir el contenido de una fuente.
5. Los autores deben asegurar que el manuscrito no ha sido publicado ya en otra parte.
6. Si un autor descubre un error o inexactitud importante en su artículo publicado, tiene obligación de notificarlo al editor de la revista y de cooperar con él a fin de retirar o corregir el artículo si fuera posible.
7. La autoría corresponde a quienes hayan realizado una contribución significativa a la concepción, estructura o interpretación del artículo. Cualquier otra persona que haya hecho una contribución significativa al artículo deberá figurar como coautor. Los autores han de asegurar que todos los autores han visto y son conformes con la versión presentada del manuscrito, así como en ser incluidos como autores.
Directrices para los revisores
1. Los revisores deben guardar la confidencialidad sobre la información relacionada con el manuscrito y tratarla como información privilegiada. No deben mostrarla o discutirla con otras personas salvo autorización del editor.
2. El examen de los manuscritos presentados debe hacerse de manera objetiva, siguiendo las orientaciones contenidas en el protocolo de evaluación. Los revisores deben expresar con claridad sus puntos de vista con argumentos de apoyo, sin expresar juicios personales.
3. Los revisores tienen derecho a determinar cuáles son los trabajos publicados relevantes que deben ser citados en el manuscrito por los autores. Cualquier declaración de que una observación, variación o argumento se ha divulgado previamente deberá acompañarse de la cita correspondiente.

3. Authors must not submit a manuscript that is under consideration or have been accepted for publication elsewhere.
4. Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in research work. If necessary, they must obtain permission to reproduce the content of a source.
5. Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published elsewhere.
6. If an author discovers significant error or inaccuracy in her/his published work, she/he has the obligation to notify the journal editor and also to cooperate with the editor to retract or if it’s possible to correct the article.
7. Authorship should be composed to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, structure or interpretation of the article. Any other person who has made significant contribution for the article must be listed as co-authors. Authors also ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted version of the manuscript and their inclusion of names as co-authors.
Duties of Reviewers
1. Reviewers must keep all the information pertaining to the manuscript confidential and be treated as privileged information.
They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
2. Review of submitted manuscripts must be done objectively, following the guidelines contained in the protocol of evaluation. The reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments, without

investigación o que sepa que no podrá realizar una revisión dentro de plazo deberá comunicarlo al Consejo de redacción y excusarse del proceso de revisión.
5. Los revisores deberán abstenerse de realizar la evaluación encomendada en caso de conflicto de interés (relaciones financieras, institucionales, de colaboración o de otro tipo entre el revisor y el autor) y comunicarlo al editor.

3. Reviewers have the right to identify relevant published work that has not been cited in the manuscript by authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation.
4. Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.
5. Reviewers must eschew the evaluation mandated in the event of a conflict of interest (financial, institutional relations of collaboration or otherwise between the reviewer and the author) and communicate it to the editor.
