Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District (TTBID) Update

(Provided by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce.)

At press time for the last TOT Newsletter, the TTBID Committee was considering three new shoulder season events for visitors and our community to enjoy.

Two clear winners met Committee criteria and we are now excited to announce the first inaugural Truckee Craw Thaw (TruckeeCrawThaw.com), a FREE New Orleans-inspired music event entirely produced by Truckee locals, as well as, the Sagan Fondo (SaganFondo.com), a world-class gravel / dirt bike event and festival. Both event websites include a page for discounts on Truckee lodging. Any assessed property in Truckee Town limits can be listed on the lodging discount page, contingent upon providing a promo code with a discounted offer that links to, and works properly, on a booking engine. Contact [email protected].

*The Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District (TTBID) Committee is comprised of two property managers, two national brand hoteliers (Hampton and Best Western), one boutique lodge owner, one nightly rental homeowner and a Chamber of Commerce Board member who is a corporate organizational consultant. This Committee oversees how the TTBID assessment is spent to drive shoulder season lodging.

Alternative yard waste disposal options include discounted dumpster rentals or drop off up to 6 yards at Eastern Regional Landfill. A new online customer service platform will also be available for easier billing and communication. Visit keeptruckeegreen.org to make your cart selection.

No Parking Ordinance Reminder:

Remember, whether or not there is an active snow storm, all residents, guests, and visitors must comply with the Town of Truckee Winter No Parking Ordinance 10.17.030, which is effective November 1st through April 30th. Please park in designated parking areas only and do not park on Truckee roadways, shoulders and marked snow removal areas.

Please make sure that your guests and occupants are aware of this winter parking ordinance, as the citation fines and tow costs can add up to hundreds of dollars quickly. If you park your vehicle on private property, without permission, y ou may also be cited or towed.

Please contact Truckee Police Department at [email protected] if you have any questions. We really appreciate the cooperation of everyone.
