Important

To disinfect the device, use products for disinfecting surfaces in clinical areas and patient care equipment, such as surface disinfection wipes. Your SpeechOne

Get started

X While charging, the battery LED on the dock lights up in a loop until the headset is removed or fully charged. When you remove SpeechOne from the docking station, the battery LEDs on the docking station show the battery status. If the distance is less than 50 cm (18 inches), interference may occur between the docking stations.

Ensure that the distance between SpeechOne and the docking station is no more than 5 meters (16 feet). X When pairing is complete, the battery LEDs on the docking station light up for one second and then display the battery status. To disconnect this existing connection and pair your SpeechOne with the desired docking station, proceed as described in Pair SpeechOne and docking station [12].

If the wireless connection between the SpeechOne and the docking station is lost, all three button LEDs on the docking station light up orange and the status LED on the headset lights up red. If there is a problem with the docking station's USB connection (for example, the USB cable is plugged into the wrong USB port on the docking station), all three button LEDs on the docking station will glow orange and the status LED will glow the headphones light up orange. The SpeechOne uses wireless technology to establish a connection between the dictation headset and the docking station.

A wireless connection does not require the SpeechOne and the docking station to be in line of sight. Make sure to keep a minimum distance of 50 cm (18 inches) between the docking station and other wireless devices, such as smartphones or laptops. X If the connection to the docking station is successful, the battery LEDs on the docking station light up for one second and show the battery status afterwards.

If you experience problems with your device, for example if the SpeechOne does not respond or does not connect to the docking station, you can reset the wireless connection. Connect the docking station to your computer (or optionally to the wall socket) via the supplied USB cable. Make sure you use the USB port for PC connection marked with on the docking station.

Use your SpeechOne

Recording and playback of dictation with SpeechOne requires dictation software such as Philips SpeechExec to be installed on the computer. Make sure the docking station is connected to your computer, otherwise recording is not possible. To start recording, press the record button on the dock once or press the headphone button on the headset once.

To end a recording, press the Record button on the docking station again or press the Headphone button on the headset again. X Phone LEDs and Do Not Disturb buttons on the docking station and status light glow red. X The phone LEDs and Do Not Disturb buttons on the docking station turn off and the status light turns green.

Hold the Record button and the Do Not Disturb button on the dock for 3 seconds. Mount the status light either on the side or back of your screen. While you are recording with your SpeechOne, the LED of the Do Not Disturb button on the docking station glows red and the status light automatically turns red to indicate that you are unavailable.

X The LED for the Do Not Disturb button on the docking station and the status light are red. X The LED on the Do Not Disturb button on the docking station turns off and the status light turns green. Wear the headset and hold down the Do Not Disturb button on the docking station for 3 seconds until you hear a short beep.

X By pressing the Do not disturb button on the docking station, you can switch the status light to red (do not disturb) or turn it off. X By pressing the Do Not Disturb button on the docking station, you can change the color of the status light between red or green. Recording and playback of dictation with a Philips foot control requires dictation software such as Philips SpeechExec to be installed on the computer.

Make sure you upgrade your device along with any accessories you use frequently, including the docking station (or for some devices, the optional remote control). When the firmware upgrade is complete, the Speech-One and the docking station will be disconnected briefly and the button LEDs on the docking station will light orange.

Button modes

Press the End of Letter/Priority (•EoL/••Prio) button and the Insert/Overwrite (INS/OVR) button at the same time for three seconds. Service and support

The docking station was connected to the computer and/or to the electrical outlet before you connected the foot pedal. Disconnect the foot pedal from the docking station and the docking station from the computer and/or electrical outlet. Then reconnect the foot pedal to the docking station, and then connect the docking station to the computer and/or to the electrical outlet.

The connection between the SpeechOne and the docking station is interrupted. Additionally, connect the docking station to the power supply unit and USB port for charging (marked 5V DC) via the supplied USB cable. The LEDs on your SpeechOne and the docking station indicate connection and battery status, as well as problems that may occur when using your SpeechOne and the docking station.
