This year we will be learning to manage ourselves through being a PAX Leader. We will
learn a lot about what this
means during our first week
of school!
Homework will be sent home as needed for reading, spelling, and math.
Assignments given will be noted in the daily agenda and need to be completed and returned the following day.

Reading
We will read a new story each week that follows the
theme of the module. Our first module is all about being
a Super Citizen!

Writing
You will be writing 10 essays!
We will focus a lot on how to write a paragraph and use
correct grammar
Math
We will learn all about adding and subtracting numbers as large as 1,000, how to solve word problems,
how to create math drawings and models, and all about telling time,
counting money, and using unit fractions.

Science
We will focus on many topics that include states of
matter, weather, landforms,
space, and life science.
Social Studies
Our focus for Social Studies is how to be Super Citizens and learning about the world
around us.
Attendance is taken each morning
before announcements. Any students that arrive to school after 8:15 will
need to report to the office before coming to class.
Dismissal: Students will leave the
classroom at their assigned time to get to the necessary location. All
students will be dismissed at 3:00.
Birthday Celebrations will be 5 or fewer minutes at the end of the school day.
Students will NOT be allowed to bring in
treats (edible or non-edible). Celebrations will include recognizing your child and they will receive a small gift from the class.
At this time, volunteers are not allowed on our campus.
If this changes, an email will be sent
out with information!
• Each night the students will bring their agenda home in their take home binders with a short
summary of what we did along with reminders.
• The agenda must be signed
every night and brought back to school each morning.
