Encontrar el aumento de la entropía del gas les llevó más de 40 minutos de discusión en lugar de los menos de 10 minutos que necesitaron para encontrar el cambio de la entropía en el entorno. En segundo lugar, habíamos destacado cómo los estudiantes hablaban de muchas ideas simultáneamente cuando articulaban la clase de entropía. En es- te caso, la figura A.4muestra que los estudiantes exploran algunas ideas durante la discusión, pero principalmente se centran en las de reversibilidad/irreversibili- dad. Parece que la discusión sobre el gas les ayudó a abordar la discusión sobre el entorno. Les llevó menos tiempo decidir dónde concentrarse y también elegir un enfoque.
