In order to defend yourself or your property, therefore, if you are in the Quadra of Invisibility, you m ust become invisible. If your house is in a city, make it identical to all its neighbors. Paint it in precisely the same colors, and make the front yard precisely match those on either side of it. If you are in the country, you should screen your dwelling with bushes and trees, and perhaps paint it with camouflage colors. When you are in a crowd of people your attire m ust exactly match theirs. When you are a t a party, you m ust not in any way be distinguishable from others a t th a t party. You m ust match not only your attire but also your actions and voice to those around you. You may have a tendency to dress in pastel colors and to be very wishy-washy. You m ust overcome this habit if you are to avoid attack, for in a brightly colored crowd your pastels make you different and thus noticeable.
If your telephone is a problem, in your case you should list it in among the Smiths or the Wilsons; and when someone annoys you he should be answered with absolute silence. Bill collectors who come to you in error should also be m et with a blank stare. If you are verbally attacked, put on the look of the idiot. L et it all flow by you as if you were not even there. If you are attacked psychically, again you should completely ignore it. A fter one experience of this, you should be able to get your mind in such a state th a t you don’t even notice a psychic attack. Your total defense is to ignore any attack, making absolutely no response to it. To aid in this, an invisi bility ritual is often useful.

(Best performed at twilight on day of new moon) Bathe quietly and gently. Put on a clean loose- fitting garment and go to some place where no one will

see you. Light a small white candle. Around yourself and the candle, cast an imaginary circle by pointing your finger at the ground. Rotate upon your axis (that is, pirouette in place) saying quietly,
“I am surrounded by the pure white light of the Gods.
All that is good shall stay with me.
All that is evil shall go on its way and cause me no harm.”
Quietly blow out the candle, saying, “As I will, so mote it be.”
It is best either to bum or to bury the remains of the candle, or place it among other used candles in a drawer.
Dolores D rives the Sorcerer Berserk

Dolores G, a Pisces by nature, lived in Mexico City. When she was young, she somehow incurred the w rath of a Spanish sorcerer or ‘brujo.’ H e swore a mighty oath th at he would be avenged and would cause h er never to m arry. Do lores was a young child when this happened, and had quite forgotten th e sorcerer’s curse by the time she started dating. She fell in love with a young Spanish nobleman, Juan-Carlos, who was visiting Mexico for the first time. Perhaps through jealousy, one of Dolores’ friends told Juan-Carlos of the curse. He immediately went to another brujo and got all the protec tive amulets he could obtain for Dolores; but they did no good. F o r as the wedding day approached Dolores seemed to be more and more on edge and argum ents between the lovers multiplied. Things reached such a state th a t the wedding was postponed.
A t this time Dolores, who had earlier been a student of the School, w rote to us about h er problem. We told her to get rid of all the amulets and to do the invisibility ritual given

above. We traveled astrally to see Dolores a couple of times after she did the ritual, and could see negative thoughtforms (apparently from the brujo) going right through her. Soon, despite the brujo’s efforts, the marriage was performed and Dolores now lives in Madrid with h er new husband.U nder normal circumstances, one might say th a t the re moval of the amulets which Juan-Carlos had bought for Do lores meant th at she was no longer reminded of the curse, and th at the curse which was all in h er mind was therefore in operative. B ut we can assure you th at energies from the curse were present around Dolores even on h er wedding day. They did not affect her because she was able totally to ignore them.
L ater we heard th at the brujo had worked hard at his curse; th at in fact he worked himself into a severe illness. In his attem pts to stop the wedding, he went to the Basilica of Guadalupe and tried to direct negative energy a t Dolores ac tually as she knelt a t the altar. He expended his energy in vain; for she was perfectly immune to his attacks, and they passed through h er ju st as light passes through clear glass.
B alancing Thy Wheel o f Life
