Hãy tả sự thức dậy của một thành p h ố lớn hay của một ngôi làng

One of the scenes I like to watch best is the awakening of his big city, Ho Chi Minh, where I am living. Since my house is

ocated in (on) a busy sữeet, I usually see and hear a lot of Mngs going on at this early time of the day.

Every day, Ho Chi Minh City awakes as soon as the Homing dawns. The sừeets are suddenly animated with people ;md noisy vehicles. Fừst, food peddlers appear in the sfreets moving busily from house to house to sell theừ food and shouting loudly every now and then to advertise theừ wares. The Dread' peddlers, who are my alarm-clock, are blowing thek horns in front of each house to draw the attention of housewives. Then he noodle-soup women-peddlers carrying their steaming food in rig metal containers on theừ shoulders by means of a bamboo- pole, and the Chinese soup-peddlers calling attention to theừ food by means of striking two blocks of bamboo against each other are the most active people in the sfreets in the early Jnoming.

Next, the coffee and breakfast shops on either side of the sitreets are filled with people eating, drinking, talking, and laughing noisily over theừ coffee or breakfast. They seem to be very happy ỉmd eager to begin another day’s work after a night’s rest.

The buses, going long distances; are trying to collect passengers by means of loud advertisements and sending their people way out to greet and solicit passengers. Every now and then, they blow their horn and start tìieừ engines as if they were ready to depart, to lure the passengers.

Presently, the people going to work, the housewives going to market, and the students going to school add theừ number to the possession of the sừeets. The sừeets are now quite lively with all kinds of vehicles going in all dừections. The peaceful and clean air of the early morning is already full of smoke emitted from the vehicle and noises made by. the vehicle engines and by students, boys and gừls, clattering tìieứ shoes on the side-walks. Long, colorful dresses of women fluttering in the wind make this early morning scene very beautiful to watch.

This noisy and lively scene lasts only for a moment, until 8 o’clock when the last people going tp work, to market or school have reached theừ destinations, and the food peddlers sell out thdr food and begin to carry theừ empty food containers home. At this time, everything seems to slow down. The streets are thinner and thinner with people and vehicles and the coffee and breakfast shops are almost deserted.

Nothing is more wonderful than to watch the awakening of this big city, Ho Chi Minh. Its atmosphere in the early morning is quite festive and full of life. Its people and vehicles seem to regain their energy and are eager to begin ạn active and successful day after a peaceful night’s rest

DESCRIBE A CITY Hãy tả một thành phố

I have been to many cities, I know and like best is the one I am describing to you. The name of the city is Dalat. I spent three

years attending school there. Dalat is located in the Highland^ of Central Vietnam and is about 300 km ửom HCM City.

It is a very pretty city built on the “Lang Biang” Plateau and is situated in the middle of a valley which is surrounded by rolling hills and a range of high and rugged mountains.

The city is centered to the west of the beautiful Ho Xuan Huong Lake. For the most part, the roads in the area are curved and steep. Magnificent villas are scattered on both sides df the roads. We can also find some lovely villas nestled in the pine- woods and others located far up on the mountains imd overlooking the city and valley. The beautiful mountains, trees and lakes make Dalat resemble a city located somewhere in Switzerland and not belonging to Vietnam.

I think Dalat is a very pretty and enjoyable city. It is a favourite place for tourists and artists. Artists find Dalat ideal for theử work. It offers beautiful scenery for their inspiration, other persons find the beauty and solitude of Dalat inspừational for thek writing.
